MONDAY FUNDAY. . . Scary leftovers?

I made this card at our October Girls Night Out using up a bunch of leftovers.  

The greeting was my starting point.  

I had a tutorial for making the scarecrow out of punches and I found a bit of raffia from a leftover Paper Pumpkin kit.  

The card base and mats were found in my scrap bin as was the card stock pieces I used for the scarecrow himself.

FESTIVE FRIDAY. . . Merry Tags Framelits and Pine Bough TIEF. . .

Check out this simple beauty! 

I cut the ornament out using the Merry Tags Framelits. 

I ran the art piece through the Pine Bough embossing folder. 

I added some sparkle to the ornament using the clear Wink of Stella. 

A quick gold bow finishes it nicely. 

The greeting is from the Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set.  

Don't you just LOVE the Night of Navy paired with the Emerald Envy!!!!

THURSDAY'S FEATURED PRODUCT. . . Mixed Borders. . .

MIXED BORDERS STAMP SET. . . 

Supplies Used:  

Dapper Denim Card Stock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Whisper White Card Stock 3 3/4" x 5"
Dapper Denim Card Stock 3" x 3"
Whisper White Card Stock 3" x 3"
Dapper Denim Ink Pad
Mixed Borders Stamp Set
Circle Punch
Scallop Circle Punch
Swirly Bird Stamp Set 
Swirls and Scribbles framelits


1.  Stamp the border lines across art piece using Dapper Denim ink. 
2.  Stamp greeting on Whisper White scrap card stock.  Punch out using circle punch.  
3.  Punch out scallop circle from Dapper Denim. 
4.  Stamp flower images from Swirly Bird stamp set and cut out using matching framelits. 
5.  Color flowers using Watermelon Wonder marker. 
5.  Adhere card together as shown in the sample. 

WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY. . . . Santa's Sleigh and Christmas Pines. . . .

I made this Christmas card using the greeting from the Christmas Pines stamp set, the deer and wreath image from Santa's Sleigh stamp set, and the Woodland embossing folder for the background. 

Super easy! 

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY. . . Embedded Embossing Technique. . .

I punched some circles out of scrap card stock( Cucumber Cursh, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight)  and glued them to the front of a card base measuring 11 x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2" 

The I put the front of the card in the Petal Burst embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot. 

A quick greeting matted on black card stock and adhered to the front finishes this bright beauty off nicely.  

MONDAY FUNDAY. . . Get Well Soon. . .

I was running low on get well cards and this card is what I came up with. 

It was part of of a color challenge using green black and cream. 

Not sure if I like the dark green and black. . . I tend to be drawn to lighter and more lively colors personally. 

CHALLENGE SUNDAY: A detailed sketch for you. . .

We have done a number of simple sketches.....here is one I found that has lots of fun detail.

FRUGAL FRIDAY. . . Dollarama find. . . .

I was at Dollarama a while back and found an adult coloring book. 

The price was right at $1.25 so I bought a couple of them. 

This was one of the sheets in the book, but I decided not to color it, but rather use it as designer series paper.  

A quick greeting and a beautiful butterfly die cut is all it took to make this card!
