05.29.2017. . . More Daisy Fun. . .

I found a little more time to play with the  new Daisy Delight Bundle....how is this for a little spring-like bouquet....bet this would brighten someone's day!

I stamped the daisies in Melon Mambo and just pulled the color from the stamping throughout the petals with an aqua-painter.  And the new bling for the daisy centers are to die for!

05.25.2017...Daisy Sneak Peek. . .

I was playing with some new products from my pre-order.

The background on these cards were made by swirling inks onto white card stock.

The daisy is a new bundle coming June 1st.

The Happy Birthday is a new thinlet (also a bundle) coming June 1.

I love how quick and easy this card was to make....but also the visual pop from mixing the black with the vibrant inks.

05.17.2017...Heat Embossing & Watercolor Paints on Crumb Cake...

Check out this beauty!  I LOVE how this card turned out!

I stamped the images from the Touches of Texture stamp set with Versamark clear ink on Crumb Cake card stock. I added black embossing powder and heat set.

Then I grabbed my watercolor paints and colored the images.  I LOVE how vibrant the image turned out on the Crumb Cake card stock!

Next I added some Daffodil Delight ribbon and mounted the art piece on Pacific Point card stock.

A little Wink of Stella clear for a bit of shimmer added the final touch!

05.16.2017. . . AWESOME storage idea. . .

I just stumbled upon a FANTASTIC storage solution for Designer Series Paper... and now is the perfect time to share this with you... because June 1 you have TONS of new dsp to choose from!

First up is this storage container by IRIS that I found at Michael's...it holds the 6x6 dsp stacks perfectly....there are three new dsp stacks coming in the new annual catalog which will fit perfectly in one of these with room to spare!
Next up is this photo storage container by IRIS that I found at Michael's....it is designed to store and protect photos....but I am using it for my 12 x 12 dsp.

Now you probably are thinking that I have lost my mind....but wait....since I use my dsp for cards....I cut down my dsp
.
I cut off a 1 1/2 inch strip from the 12 x 12 and cut this in half to have two pieces 1 1/2 x6.  (this gives me pieces to decorate the inside of a card or for a strip of card stock on the outside of card)

Next I cut what is left into three strips at 4 x 10 1/2 ....then I cut those in half to 4 x 5 1/4.....this gives me six card sized pieces and two additional strips from one 12 x 12 sheet.....and  one full package of cut up dsp will  fit perfectly in these containers!

05.13.2017...Wedding and Anniversary Week...Falling For You Embossed Vellum Glitter Technique

The embossed vellum glitter technique is really easy....but I admit I used a retired embossing folder for this one....I just could not resist the beauty of the Manhattan Flower TIEF.

To do this technique you emboss your vellum and I cut away the top piece.  Then I used my fine tip glue pen (filled with tombow) and applied a fine line of glue on the raised areas and then sprinkled dazzling diamonds glitter on it.

To adhere the vellum I used a sponge and Tombow to apply a thin layer of glue to the backside.

It is really hard to get a good photo but these cards are stunning.
