New ink pads.... comparison, details, tips, all colors- woo hoo!

LOVE the new ink pads!

The new pads include a defoamer to stop the inks from bubbling and they are a firmer fit around the lid. Also, they open like a compact, so they are really easy to operate and; they have little holes on the top and; corresponding feet on the bottom so you can stack them really neatly. They are also more of a square shape, but the ink pad itself is about the same size. One last thing, they have an extra black color sticker and; a spot for it on the inside, so you know which ink you're using when they're open! I'm so excited to get these!

Here are some pics comparing the current pads you have and the new ones coming June 1st:

As you can see they will stack much easier and take up much less space!  Yeah!

***TIP:  If your new ink pads are stiff to open and close, rub a wax tea light along the sides. So much easier to use especially if you have arthritic hands!

Here are the new in-colors:

14.04.2018...Scrapbook Saturday....Sweet!

What is better than Tempting Turquoise and Pink?

I was VERY pleased with how this layout turned out.

The Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack on page 24 of the Occasions Catalog sure helped me with this layout.

The "Sweet"  title at the top of the page is from the Cupcake Cutouts dies found on page 213 of the Annual Catalog.

The flower at the top and the Flower journal card at the bottom are both from that pack of cards.

13.04.2018...Jar of Love Masking Technique with Hardwood...

I created this card using the Jar of Love Stamp Set found on page 29 of the Annual Catalog  and the Hardwood background stamp found on page 165 of the Annual Catalog.

I used the background stamp to create the table to set the jars on.

Then I used masking technique to stamp the jars and flowers.

Of course I made a couple of mistakes and ended up having to mask it all again and spritz the background to cover my mistakes.  GEESH!
