Dear Doily Pocket Fun Fold Card with Selective Inking Technique...

This is a card I taught in one of my April Technique Card Classes.  It is a pocket fun fold card and we did the selective inking technique.

The stamp set featured on this card is the soon to retire Dear Doily set, item #148390 which has coordinating framelits and is available as a bundle #150616 from the Occasions catalog. Here is a closeup of that set:

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this set.....the greetings are spectacular and the images are absolutely beautiful and pairing with the dies takes it over the top!  Just the dies alone are worth their weight in gold....you will always be able to cut your own doilies!

We Will Miss You Bella and Friends....an interesting window card!

Bella and Friends item#141870 is one set that I am truly going to miss! How can you not LOVE the cute little images to color...but as of June 3 it is gone forever 😟

Here is a closeup of all the stamps in the set:

For this card, I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies#148551 and cropped out the center.  I LOVE how the stitch marks go on each side of the cut-out.

Here is a closeup of the stitched rectangle dies:

Then I closed my card...put adhesive on the back of the cut-out rectangle, and then fit it back through the opening..adhering it to the inside panel.

Now when the recipient opens the card they are opening the frame and the focal image is on the inside!  Cool huh!

Go to this link to see all the stamps that are retiring in a few days...once they are gone....they are gone forever:

Heat Embossed Images in Any Color....

Here is a card we made in one of my May  Cardmaking Techniques classes.

This bright and beautiful card features Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.

It features a stamped and dry embossed card base that was embellished with rhinestones.

The focal image was stamped and heat embossed using the tutorial for this technique.

Here is a closeup of the image:

I learned this technique from fellow demonstrator Connie Stewart.

Dear Doily Pocket Card. . .

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

It was REALLY cold here this weekend...and we even got some snow flurries on Sunday morning...but fingers crossed the forecast is looking up!

This is a pocket card I made for my April Technique
class, using the Dear Doily Bundle from page 47 of the Occasions catalog.

Here is a peek with the insert open:

I used  Gorgeous Grape, Pear Pizzazz, Highland Heather and Very Vanilla card stock.

The lavender stems were stamped using the selective stamping technique using coordinating markers.

The embossing folder I used was Seaside on page 223 of the Annual catalog.
