Friday. October 23, 2020... Stamp With Shel....October Paper Pumpkin Alternative...

So....another night of little sleep....after listing to the bear growl (hubby snore) until I could not stand it any longer, I drug myself out of bed and went into my craft room.

I did a bit of 3 am cleaning and tidying and then I spied this delicious red box of goodies and thought....I will make an alternative card!

It took a bit to get the creative mojo working....but this is what I came up with and I was pleased with the result.

Here is how I did it.

Night of Navy card base 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

I cut open an envelope (gasp) to get at the gorgeous Cherry Cobbler printed insides and cut 4 - 2x2 squares which I glued to the front of the card using Tombow.

2 1/2 x 2 1/2 Whisper White and stamped the wreath image in Mossy Meadow.  Next, I colored the leaves with a Granny Apple Green Stampin Write marker. Finally, I stamped a bunch of the berries around the wreath with Cherry Cobbler ink.

Night of Navy mat layer 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 to mat the wreath which I attached to the center of the card front with dimensionals.

Next, I attached a tiny bow to the wreath using the Cherry Cobbler bakers twine that comes in the kit.

I stamped the greeting with Night of Navy on a scrap of the white envelope and simply cut out the words I wanted with my paper snips.  I attached this to the center with mini dimensionals.

I grabbed some of the foreign languages, die-cut foil words and snipped them apart to form the word "Friend"  and then glued the word together with Tombow and then attached this to the front of the card.

For embellishments, I grabbed my mini hole punch and punches the edges of the foil piece the words were in and then attached the little dots to the card front.

Voila!

Thursday, October 22, 2020....Beautiful Autumn....

For the past couple of days, I did a survey via email and Facebook; and asked people what products they would like to see featured in my Wednesday night Facebook Live card video.

I had 74 people ask for the Beautiful Autumn stamp set.....so.....that was my featured product last night.

We made two cards last night....a simple card and a bridge fold card.

Here are  the cards:

This first simple card is a CASE direct from page 44 of the catalog.  During the live I encouraged everyone to look at their catalog as an idea book....pick a card you like something about.....and then make it your own!

And this is our stepped up bridge fold.  Not exactly what I wanted to do but not having any Very Vanilla card stock kyboshed my plan.

Check out the close up of these leaves:

And here is a close up of the soft as butter, lovely textured ribbon:

And finally my fussy cut pumpkins....direct from the dsp:

If you missed the live you can catch the replay on Facebook.

Monday, October 19, 2020.....Shel's Mystery Case #1- All card submissions....you are gonna LOVE these !

Back on October 7th I posted this fun new challenge:

Here is how Shel's Mystery CASE works:

On Friday....I will share Mystery Clues for the following week's challenge.  It will include basic directions for what you will need to have on hand to make an easy CASE of the project that I intend to share.

Over The Weekend...you can start thinking about what items you are going to use- cardstocks, DSP, stamps inks, and embellishments.  Put all these items together in a small basket ready for Monday.

On Monday....I share a blog post with the project that follows the Mystery Clues given on Friday.  I share the clues again, along with my project.  Many times an accompanying video.

During the Week....Now it is your turn to craft...You create with your materials following the Mystery Clues or by CASE-ing my card from Monday!

C.A.S.E - Copy and Selectively Edit

You can think of the clues as a starting point in your creative process and make the card your own!  There are no hard-set rules here....this is for fun!  It is your card....make it your way!

Email me a photo of your completed card, by doing so you are giving me permission to share your card on my blog to inspire others.  I will add your name as the creator of the project.

On Friday....I will share all the cards from the week!

Then on Friday Oct 9th I posted these clues:
