Today I wanted to share with you a quick and easy 3D project that I will use all year long.....a new calendar for 2018!
I found the calendar printable online for free and printed it off. Then I used my paper trimmer and trimmed each month to 2" x 2 1/2 " and then stapled them together.
Next I went to my scrap bin and found a piece of Real Red card stock and trimmed it down to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
I decided to use some of my new designer series papers from the 2018 Occasions Catalog that starts Jan 3....it is called Tutti Fruiti....and is GORGEOUS stuff! I trimmed it to 4" x 5 1/4".
Then I made a contrasting mat for my calendar pad using the back side of the same dsp! Love the color coordination.
I grabbed my retired Little Numbers dies and cut out the 2018 and attached them.
To finish it off I chose Lemon Lime Twist ribbon for a festive bow.
This bright and colorful calendar will be on my desk at work all year long....LOVE it!
Oh yeah...almost forgot....so this stands freely I made a little stand for the back side....
-I took a scrap of card stock 2" by 6 1/2" .
-I scored it at 2, 4, and 6 inches.
-Next fold it into a triangle and put Tear and Tape on the 1/2 inch part and stick it down so it maintains its triangular shape.
-Then I simply added more Tear and tape to one side of the triangle and affixed it to the center back of calendar at the bottom. Voila!
This GORGEOUS card I taught in my December Techniques Card Class.
It features stamps from the Star of Light stamp set found on page 122 of the annual catalog. The snowflake is from the coordinating Starlight Thinlets found on page 216 of the annual catalog.
The GORGEOUS designer series paper is called Year of Cheer Specialty DSP and can be found on page 37 of the Holiday catalog.
So over the past three days I have shared with you the cards we made in our December Techniques Card Class. If you enjoyed these cards why not join the girls for January Techniques Card Class....held on Wednesday January 17 at 6:30 pm. Cost is a flat fee of $20 or FREE with a minimum $30 catalog order.
Also....don't forget....new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration start January 3......wooohooo.....for every $60 you spend out of any catalog....you get to choose one Sale-a-Bration item for FREE!
This is the second of three cards I taught in my December Techniques Class. This card features the ADORABLE Baby Bear stamp set found on page 110 of the annual catalog.
This is a triple step stamp that adds fabulous depth and dimension to the image.
Once he was stamped he was simply cut out with scissors as well as his bow. Then an action wobble was adhered to his back....and the adhered to the card front. Now he wiggles and wobbles when you hold the card...FUN!
Now for this class I used purchase action wobbles....but I found an online tutorial for making your own which I shared with my girls and I will share here with you. I found this tutorial was on Pinterest; but it was from the website at www.lovetocrop.com.
I finally got a chance to play with the You Move Me Bundle found on page 170 of the annual catalog. I have had this set for ages and this is the first time I have used it.
The stamp set has some great two step images that coordinate with the Move Me Thinlet Dies which I used here to cut the window.....the combination of the two allows the butterfly to "fly" out of the card.....really cool!
I taught this card in my December Technique Card Class and it was a hit!
