Double Embossed Summer Silhouettes

This card was a bit of a surprise for my card making girls.

The green embossed piece on the front actually opens and that is where you write your greeting.

I LOVE the green embossing powder on the raspberry ripple cardstock!

Cloudy Days?

Hey girls, it's Tuesday and I thought it was a great day for a super quick tutorial....on making a cloud background for your cards or scrapbook pages.

This is really simple to do.....just take a scalloped circle punch and punch out a piece of scrap cardstock.  Then cut it in half- voila- two masks!

Grab a couple of shades of blue ink and a couple of sponges and a piece of white cardstock.....and go to town....simply sponge the ink along the edge of the scallops, making sure to use both colors for depth and to make sure that you change the angles a bit each time you move the mask.

Easy peasy!  Give it a try- have fun, and share your creations with me!

Well here is my first submission from Nicolle:

Nicolle writes:

Here is my spin on the card challenge for August.

I used the Tea for Two paper, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, & Very Vanilla.

I used the En Francis back ground stamp as well on dimensionals on my card base of the same color.

Luck Limeade ruffled ribbon & the Vintage Button were my embellishments, oh I also used some two buttons from the Sweet Button Embosslits.

GREAT job Nicolle - thanks again for playing in the challenge and sharing your work to inspire others!!!

Shel's Mid Month Stampin Up! Update

Hi Girls!

Last night was the Holiday Catalog Kick Off Party, and boy did we have fun- played some games, had some great chicken  wings and salads, checked out the new products, and a great make and take card, and of course great prizes.

If you could not make it and want a copy of the Holiday Catalog, contact me. It is also available on my blog.

My next order goes in today, Thursday August 15 at 9 pm.....if you wish to order anything please contact me prior to the 9pm deadline.

I have just received a bunch of new promotions that I wanted to share with you .

1.  First, I wanted to talk a bit about the new thinlit dies- there are three- the Label Card die set &  the Circle Card die set,(these cut the card which moves or flips and the accessory dies)  and the Expressions Thinlets words.

There has been an overwhelming response to these, and my advise is that if you want these- DON'T WAIT- order them now.....because I just know that they are going to hit the backorder list and you may not get them in time.

Here is a quick video on these thinlits card dies:

These are in the Holiday Catalog on page 36....set of 3....$30.95

Here is a quick video on the expressions thinlits dies:

2.  New Photopolymer Stamp Set- just released:

3.  Just in time for the holidays- new budget friendly Holiday Single Stamps!

4.  And finally you are gonna LOVE LOVE LOVE this new tool!

It is an Envelope Punch Board- available September 1st.

It makes AWESOME envelopes easy as pie in 66 different sizes.

Honestly, this is the easiest and fastest way to make your own envelopes and save money!  You can use cardstock, Designer Series Paper, or even plain white computer paper- it all works!

  • It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
  • It's super easy to use; it will go over as a huge wow when you demonstrate it at your events and your customers see it in action. It looks intimidating at first glance, but when they see that all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score they'll go crazy (in a good way).
  • It's small and lightweight; this makes it easy for you to take it to your events and show it. It's also a great selling point when you show your customers how it's super portable and easy to store. It's small and light enough that they could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend's for craft night-anywhere.
  • It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
  • It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).
  • The price is terrific-especially for a tool that does so much!
