Stamp With Shel Bash Your Stash Challenge...

 This is a sketch challenge!

Use the sketch below as inspiration to create a card using products from your stash.

This is a no-rules challenge- use what you want.

If it is a current Stampin' Up! product that is fabulous.  But if you don't have anything current....do not let that stop you!  My friend grab what you have and get stamping!

Send me a photo of your completed project so we can inspire others to get stamping and mailing those cards!

Here is the sketch:

Stamp With Shel- Technique Tuesday...

Technique Focus—Colouring
Christmas is right around the corner!

Right now, you’re probably creating lots of Christmas cards to send to your friends and family.

As you make your cards for the holiday season, try out this fun coloring technique that might seem complicated at first, but is actually really easy to execute.

To make this card, start by inking the “Christmas” stamp from the More Wishes Stamp Set with a Soft Sea Foam ink pad.

Then use a Sponge Dauber to add Wild Wheat ink to the bottom of the word, then huff on it (breathe heavily on the stamp to remoisten the ink) and stamp on Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Next, die-cut a panel of Very Vanilla Cardstock using the Tiny Christmas Trees Die.

Next, using a Blending Brush and Soft Sea Foam ink color a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

Layer the die-cut tree panel onto the Inked panel.

Add this panel to a Very Vanilla card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Die-cut the wreath - use DSP with the same colors as your card for a fun twist that adds lots of dimension.

Add the wreath to the card front.

Next, grab some Wild Wheat 2023–2025 In Color Jute Trim and pull one string from the spool to get a thinner piece.

Combine that with Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and adhere both behind the stamped sentiment.

Try out this fun coloring technique in your cards this Christmas season!

STAMP WITH SHEL MONDAY- Crafty Challenge Blog Hop- Sketch Challenge with Hot Air Balloon Bundle Sneak Peek....

Today I am participating in the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop.

Our challenge this month is a sketch challenge!

I have added the measurements to the sketch to make it easier for you to use if you choose to play along.  Here is Stefanie's sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

This is the first card I have made using this new Hot Air Balloon Bundle that is coming in January!

Since it was a sketch challenge I decided to keep it pretty simple.  The only thing I did differently than the sketch is to add an additional square and to increase the greeting tag size.

The hot air balloons I didn't even have to stamp...they were from the DSP!  Super simple!  The dies I used were the Stylish Shapes Dies.

My challenge to you is to use the sketch above to make a card with your stash.  Send me a picture of your card to: andersonshel@gmail.com and I will post it on my blog to help inspire others.  Then the second part of the challenge is that you have to mail the card to someone to make them smile!

Happy Stamping!

Now hop along and see what my other creative friends have to inspire you with today:
