Today I am participating in Kylie's International Project Highlights. Our theme is Thank You. Here is my card:
This card was a real challenge for me because I promised I would use a featured bundle for every card I created this week. That bundle was the Joy of Noel shown here:
Since this was most definitely a Christmas bundle; the challenge was figuring out how to make this into a thank-you card....I had a lightbulb moment and decided to change up the colors and use a Thank You greeting ....I think it worked!
How You Can Make It:
Supplies:
Joy of Noel Bundle
Go To Greetings
Gray Granite Stampin Write Marker
Memento Black ink pad
Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack
Tinsel Gems Three-Pack
Misty Moonlight Stampin Blends
Lost Lagoon Stampin Blends
Fresh Freesia Stampin Blends
Misty Moonlight card stock
Fresh Freesia card stock
Basic White card stock
Measurements:
Card Base: Misty Moonlight 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Mat Layer: Fresh Freesia 4 x 5 1/4
Focal Layer: Basic White 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
Inside Layer: Basic White 3 3/4 x 4
Instructions:
- Color the ribbon with the Fresh Freesia Stampin Blend marker and then set aside to dry.
- Stamp greeting on the Focal Layer to the right side in the center.
- Stamp the foliage image twice.
- Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder.
- Add the white card liner to the inside of the card
- Color the foliage image using Stampin' Blends
- Flick the brush tip of the Gray Granite Stampin Write marker to create the speckles on the focal layer
- Add a strip of tear n tape horizontally across the card and add ribbon.
- Add to mat layer and then add to the card base.
- Embellish with bow and gems
