May Paper Pumpkin Kit...

This month's Paper Pumpkin kit was an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G kit!

The cards featured GOGEOUS scenes that look like paintings and are printed on both sides!

There was no way I was going to use all that gorgeous scenery on the back of a card, so simply slicing them apart gives me DOUBLE the cards!  Woot Woot!

Here are my cards:

Yes, these cards are super simple to make...  But man oh man they are GORGEOUS!  Simple cards can be a good thing....and I love that they can be used for any gender!

This month's kit also had an optional add-on kit....which I was so glad I purchased.  Come back later in the week to see those cards!

Mini Series- Punches and Dies- 1 of 3- Patchwork Pieces and a FREE SWS tutorial....

Good Morning Stampers!

This week I am doing a mini-series on new punches and dies!

First up is a stand-alone die set - meaning it does not coordinate with a specific stamp set.  (There are lots of stand-alone dies in this catalog!)

It is the Patchwork Pieces Die #161592 found on page 165.

Here is a look at the set:

One die is like a wave or horizontal effect and the other is like a starburst.

Here is my card using scraps from my scrap bin and the starburst die:

I chose to center the die on a piece of Starry Sky to use the frame as a mat layer and save card stock.  Then I just fit in random colored pieces.

Tip....if you use scraps like I did it is easiest to glue in your corners first.

I chose the medium daisy punch as it was quick and easy and the greeting is from the Cheerful Daisy bundle.

I did not realize that the daisy punch had retired until after my card was made.  I could have easily used one of the daisies from the Cheerful Daisy bundle.

This is fresh, fun, and easy, allowing me to clear up scraps!

Here is an alternate card using the horizontal wave die:
