Cheerful Daisies stamp (greeting)
Shimmery White card stock
Embossing Buddy
Versamark Ink
Silver Embossing Powder
Heat Tool
Basic White Seam Binding
Orchid Oasis Ink
Orchid Oasis Stampin Blends
22-24 In-Color Matte Dots
Tear N Tape

Measurements:

Card Base: Shimmery White- 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score 4 1/4

Instructions:

  1. Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat.
  2. Rub the card front with Embossing Buddy to remove static
  3. Stamp the snowflake image using Versamark ink
  4. Cover the image with silver (or white) embossing powder.
  5. Use the heat tool to melt and set the embossing powder.
  6. Stamp greeting in bottom corner using Orchid Oasis ink pad.
  7. Use a blending brush and Orchid Oasis ink to add ink to the snowflake background.
  8. Use a paper towel to remove excess ink from the embossed image.
  9. Add color to the white ribbon using a stamping blend.  Add to the card when dry.
  10. Embellish with dots.

This is a super easy and super fun technique.  It is just a basic card but the shimmer and shine from the silver embossing powder makes this card special!

I hope you give this technique a try.  You can make multiple cards using the same embossed image and just change the greetings for different occasions- easy and fun.

Now if you wanted to jazz it up a bit and have a multi-layer card, you could cut the card base 1/4 inch smaller and matte it on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Orchid Oasis card base.  You could stamp greeting on white card stock and mat it on Orchid Oasis and adhere it with Dimensionals.

Have fun with it....check out your stamps and see what you can come up with.  Send me a photo of your card!
