Stamp With Shel Friday- Joy of Noel Featured Bundle- One Sheet Wonder

Today I am continuing with my Joy of Noel featured bundle.

Here is a look at that bundle:

And here are my cards:

Here is a photo tutorial of the process I used to make them.  I am showing you exactly what I did...mistakes and all :

First off I took a full sheet of Basic White card stock.  I measured the center point of all three sides and drew a vertical line from top to bottom and side to side.

Next, using Versamark ink I stamped the foliage image one time in each direction from the center point.  I applied black embossing powder and heat set.

Do you see my mistake?  I forgot to use the embossing buddy first and I have little flecks of embossing powder all over the place! Yikes!  I was going to toss it in the trash but chose to keep it and use it as a teaching moment of what not to do...and I will show you how to fix this later in the tutorial.

Next, I picked up some Old Olive ink on an acrylic block and used my water brush to watercolor the leaves.

Next, I picked up Garden Green ink on an acrylic block and used my water brush to watercolor the holly leaves.

Next, I picked up some Blackberry Bliss ink on an acrylic block and used my water brush to watercolor the berries.

Next, I used my Smokey Slate ink pad and the texture stamp from the bundle and randomly stamped around the images.  This is to add texture and subtle color (but also to help hide some of the stray dots of embossing powder)

Next, I took my Basic Gray Stampin' Write marker.  I flicked the brush end on the cap ridge and flicked little dots all over the page. (This is a super easy and sure-fire way to disguise stray dots of embossing powder- and this is what saved this from hitting the garbage can)

Next, I took a blending brush and Balmy Blue ink and added some ink.

Next, I put the cardstock in my paper trimmer and cut down the center in both directions, creating four pieces 4 1/4"  x  5 1/2"

Here is a look at them split apart a bit.

Next, I put them in the Snowflake Sky embossing folder and gave them all a bit of texture.

Next, I cut them down to 3 3/4 x 5.

Now it was time to create my cards.

I decided to try and use as many pre-cut card bases and leftover pieces from other projects as I could. That is why I have different greeting tags and different colored card bases...they all coordinate with the watercolored image....but are not the same.

I had a lot of scraps of Basic Black card stock so I decided to use them for all the mat layers cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8

My card bases were all standard bases - some were 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 and some were 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

For this first card, I just stamped the Noel greeting in Blackberry Bliss then die cut it and attached it with dimensionals.  Embellished with Basic Rhinestones.

For the second card, I stamped the NO letters on a scrap of Basic White using Blackberry Bliss ink. Cleaned my stamp well and then inked the EL letters and stamped them. Again tag was attached with dimensionals and embellished with Basic Rhinestones.

For this third card, I chose a Garden Green card base and changed to a different greeting which I stamped on scrap Basic White with Blackberry Bliss ink and die cut. It was attached to the card with dimensionals and embellished with Basic Rhinestones.

Finally,  the card base for this one is Old Olive.  I stamped the greeting in Blackberry Bliss on scrap card stock and attached it with dimensionals.  Embellished with Basic Rhinestones.

I hope you give the One Sheet Wonder Technique a try. If you do not have this bundle yet check your stash and see what stamps you can substitute.

Happy Stampin'!
