Shel's Mid Month Stampin Up! Update

Hi Girls!

Last night was the Holiday Catalog Kick Off Party, and boy did we have fun- played some games, had some great chicken  wings and salads, checked out the new products, and a great make and take card, and of course great prizes.

If you could not make it and want a copy of the Holiday Catalog, contact me. It is also available on my blog.

My next order goes in today, Thursday August 15 at 9 pm.....if you wish to order anything please contact me prior to the 9pm deadline.

I have just received a bunch of new promotions that I wanted to share with you .

1.  First, I wanted to talk a bit about the new thinlit dies- there are three- the Label Card die set &  the Circle Card die set,(these cut the card which moves or flips and the accessory dies)  and the Expressions Thinlets words.

There has been an overwhelming response to these, and my advise is that if you want these- DON'T WAIT- order them now.....because I just know that they are going to hit the backorder list and you may not get them in time.

Here is a quick video on these thinlits card dies:

These are in the Holiday Catalog on page 36....set of 3....$30.95

Here is a quick video on the expressions thinlits dies:

2.  New Photopolymer Stamp Set- just released:

3.  Just in time for the holidays- new budget friendly Holiday Single Stamps!

4.  And finally you are gonna LOVE LOVE LOVE this new tool!

It is an Envelope Punch Board- available September 1st.

It makes AWESOME envelopes easy as pie in 66 different sizes.

Honestly, this is the easiest and fastest way to make your own envelopes and save money!  You can use cardstock, Designer Series Paper, or even plain white computer paper- it all works!

  • It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
  • It's super easy to use; it will go over as a huge wow when you demonstrate it at your events and your customers see it in action. It looks intimidating at first glance, but when they see that all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score they'll go crazy (in a good way).
  • It's small and lightweight; this makes it easy for you to take it to your events and show it. It's also a great selling point when you show your customers how it's super portable and easy to store. It's small and light enough that they could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend's for craft night-anywhere.
  • It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
  • It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).
  • The price is terrific-especially for a tool that does so much!

Label Maker Layout

This layout was super easy and super fun- who doesn't like Dazzling Details glitter glue to glitz up a page!

The title and the journalling were done with different size fonts and my label maker- how quick and easy that was!

The Stampin' Up! logo was cut out of one of our order bags and adhered with sticky strip to white computer paper.

The photo was mounted on a recycled paint chip.  All the hearts and the borders were punched with bits and pieces from my scrap bin.  Yeah!

I don't know about you, but I get overwhelmed with scraps- but man-o-man I hate to throw out perfectly good scraps.....

Anyhow, here is today's layout:

A Fall Card for the Guys- A Walk In The Wild

Today's card share is a great one for the guys....

This is a quick and easy, no fuss card, for a guy.  I made this one for my brother who recently lost his wife.  I just wanted something I could send him to let him know I am thinking about him; and this set works perfectly!

I stamped the image in Early Espresso Ink on to Naturals White cardstock. I water-colored the image with Soft Suede ink, Always Artichoke ink, and a blender pen.  Some Early Espresso bakers twine was a perfect manly embellishment. The card base is Cajun Craze and the mat is Always Artichoke.

3D Shares

Today I wanted to share some SUPER 3D projects that were shared with me via email, by one of my stamping girls, Nicolle Orsulak.

Here is what she sent:

I had surprise birthday party for my hubbies 40th birthday & wanted to share with you some of my creations made with
Stampin' Up! products.

The center pieces were a big hit!!

And I made adult loot bags, as a small thank you to everyone
for joining us.

The loot bags I made from a envelope I embossed with the square lattice folder, then I  cut off a small piece of the smaller end,  & filled with a $1 scratch ticket, pen post it note & a few
Hershey kisses.

You can share this with people if you like
Nicolle

Isn't this cute!  I see new chevron ribbon, and I see window framelits, and I see the pinwheel die and a greeting from the Make A Wish stampset.
I see the square lattice embossing folder, old olive and crushed curry cardstock and a greeting from the A Word For You stamp set!

Many thanks to Nicolle for her willingness to share her projects and to inspire others with her work!

A Very Special Anniversary Card- Lattice Technique

I wanted to share with you a very special anniversary card that we received in July.

It also is a technique card called "Lattice Technique"

You cut any shape window you like from the front panel of your card, and from a liner piece as well.  Then you cut strips of cardstock and glue them to the back of the inside cover, creating a lattice effect.  Then you glue the liner piece over, covering up where the ends are glued.  Embellish and voila!

Thanks Carole for the beautiful card, and for letting me share it here with others.

Technique Card- Masking Tape Technique-A Dozen Thoughts

Today's card was the final card made in July's card class.

It features a super fun technique called Masking Tape Technique.

You simply tear off a piece of masking tape, press it on the ink pad and then press it on your cardstock
It makes a great background to stamp silhouette images on.

The card base is Lucky Limeade.  I usedTempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Ink.  The greeting is from the  stamp set A Dozen Thoughts found on page 59 item #131059 $22.95 The bling in the bottom corner is the Brights Candy Dots- self adhesive and perfectly coordinated-LOVE them!

Here is today's card:

I was telling my card class girls that I thought I would try to source some skinnier masking tape and try to do a plaid background....I think that would be cool.
