CONGRATS CARD FOR MY STEP SON. . .

I made this card for my step son Devon.  

He recently completed his carpenter course and obtained his red seal.  

A lot of hard work and dedication went into this and we are VERY proud of him!

Get Well Card. . .

I had surgery last month and this is the cheery get well card Carole made for me!  Gotta love that washi tape!!

Squares with Pizzazz.....

Quick and cute ......simple but jazzy.....how cool is this card I made using punches.  

I love how quick and easy it is but still looks colorful, fresh and fun!

You're Sublime. . .

Our good friends Barb & Peter recently purchased a GORGEOUS new trailer.

  This is a congrats card I made for them using the Your Sublime and Bravo stamp sets. 

Multi- Technique Card. . .

I saw a card designed by Sandi on Pinterest that I absolutely fell in love with.

  I knew immediately that I had to try to make one. And kick me for copying  but I did not have the heart to change a thing.....her card was just too beautiful as is....my hat's off to you Sandi- well done!

There are so many techniques on this card! 


The images are stamped and heat embossed. 
Then the focal image is water-colored.  
Then the white swirl images are heat embossed along with the greeting.  
Then the other background images are stamped.  
Then the whole piece is sponged.  
Finally the flower tips are bleached out and white gel pen accents to the flower centers.

This is an extremely labor intensive and time consuming card...but oh SO WORTH IT!!

EASTER CARD SHARE....

Today I wanted to share a beautiful hand made Easter card we received from Carole.  

Isn't it GORGEOUS!  It is so fresh!  Love it!  

Glittery Grungy Swallowtail. ..

This card was a stretch for me.....out of my comfort zone.....I have a hard time combining grunge and glittery gold embossing.

First I stamped the Swallowtail image in Versamark ink on White cardstock.  Then I heat set it with gold embossing powder.

Using various Stampin Write Markers I colored in the butterfly

Next I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso Ink

Finally it was time to "grunge" it up using Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, a dry paint brush and assorted neutral color inks.

Not too sure on this one....the jury is still out.....like I said.....out of my comfort zone.

Just Kidding. . .

This card was made with a current stamp set.....but it is not in the catalog.  

I do not know why Stampin' Up! has stamp sets that are not in catalogs.....very hard to sell product that is not advertised in the book.  Anyhow....I found it.....I bought it as I thought it was sassy and funny.

It is item # 140667 $20 and it is a photopolymer set.

Honeycomb Happiness. . .

How cute is this little bird image.....man I LOVE this image.....puts a smile on my face every time I see it.  

I stamped the bird image from the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set using Memento Black ink. 

I colored the image with Copic Markers. 

I masked the bird and stamped the grass and flowers from the In The Meadow stamp set. 

I added a bit of color to the flowers. 

Next I sponged the color on the sky and in the grass.  

I removed the mask and stamped the greeting.  

Voila.....an instant smile card....guaranteed!
