4.14.2017...CASING with Falling Flowers. . .

This post is all about CASING:  CASE (kās) v. Copy And Share Everything

In the world of papercrafting, there is no shame in copying; in fact, we encourage it!

You can copy a project exactly, or you can change some of the elements to adapt it for different needs.

Be sure to give credit where credit is due.

My card above is a CASE from the current issue of Stampin' Success Demonstrator Magazine.

Here is the card I CASED:

4.13.2017...Crafting with my upline....

Last week I got to visit my upline Denise and we played in her craft room for a bit.

This is the card we made using Dragonfly Dreams .....

I love the grungy distressed feel to this card.  Hope you like it too!

And here is her sample card:

Thanks Denise!

4.12.2017...Celebrate You...

How fun is this card!

I chose primary colors for a bold pop of color.

And the Celebrations Duo embossing folder made it soooooo easy!

I cannot say enough about the Balloon punch.....at first I was very skeptical if I would even use it.  Boy was I wrong.....I use it all the time!!!   So glad I did not listen to my inner doubt on this one!

4.10.2017....Vintage Leaves and Gorgeous Grunge

It always amazes me what you can create with a little cardstock, some ink pads, and a couple of stamps!  How fun is this card?

The background was spritzed with water and some ink applied lightly with an aquapainter.  I dried it with a heat tool and then stamped with one of the images from Gorgeous Grunge found on page 123 of the Annual Catalog.  Finally I used Versamark and stamped the dot images and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder.

For the oak leaf I spritzed water on cardstock and then applied different colors with aquapainter.  I dried it with the heat tool and then stamped the leaf image with Versamark and heat embossed using early espresso embossing powder.

This was SUCH A FUN CARD TO MAKE!

4.7.2017....Easter Chickunny?

I was playing the other day and thought it would be funny to put bunny ears on a chicken.

However, when I showed my card to dear hubby....all I got was a raised eyebrow and a strange look.

Guess not everyone gets my weird sense of humor....oh well.....too bad....I think it is hilarious!

And I know just the person to send it to, who will appreciate my sense of weird ha ha.....LOL.

4.6.2017...Strummin' Along....

This is a card I made for my step son for his birthday.

Although it turned out fine....I thought I was going to go insane trying to get the guitar strings in place....let's just say the air was a light shade of blue-lol.

The Hardwood stamp set made the guitar base easy.  A little fussy cutting and some framelit dies gave me the rest of the pieces I needed.

As I said....the hard part was getting the strings attached and getting them to stay taut.....geesh!

4.5.2017...Who Doesn't Like a Carouisel ...

I made this card using the products from the Cupcakes and Carousels Suite on page 8 of the Occasions catalog.  I LOVE the DSP!

I did not have the tassels so I made my own using fine crochet cotton.

Shaker cards are fun....but time consuming.  I have discovered a super easy way to make them that I will share with you soon!
