10.03.2018...Scrapbook Saturday...Stampin' Up! Style....

 Can you say bling bling glimmery goodness!  Wowzers this layout pops!

I used Basic Black Card Stock found on page 194 of the Annual Catalogwith Painted With Love Specialty DSP found on page 19 of the Occasions Catalog.

The leaves and tiny flowers were cut from Gold Glimmer Paper found on page 194 of the Annual Catalog.

The handmade flowers were made from the Painted With Love DSP, Gold Foil Sheets (page 194 AC) assorted punches and the center is a Faceted Gem ( page 197AC)

Oh yes....and the journal card was from the Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack (on page 24 OC)....I just prettied it up with some glitzy DSP.  The title.....comes from the same card pack

09..03.2018...Mini Album Madness...

I was playing in my craft room and found an online tutorial for a mini album....which I modified a bit. 

 This one has a drop down with a waterfall down the left side....lots of room for pics and journalling.....

 A small center micro album in the middle. 

 And flip up pages for more pics and journalling which hides....

 a hidden pocket with a pull out card. 

 This was a ton of fun to make.....and it is bright and fun....wonder which smiling little faces will fill up this one?  LOL.

03.08.2018...Drywall Tape for Card-making???

You heard me correctly....yup....I used drywall tape to make a card...who would have guessed?

I used a combination of card stock...drywall tape and Brusho Crystals to create my background...cool huh?!

I also used the Coffee Cafe bundle found on page 31 of the annual catalog.

03.07.2017....Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack...not just for scrapbooking....

 I was playing in my craft room and I cracked open my pack of Petal Passion Memories and More cards.

Wowzers was I surprised.  What a treat!  There were printed cards- tons of them in two different sizes, journal cards, acetate overlays, stickers and cut outs....they sure packed a ton of stuff in that little box!

Check it out...bottom of page 24 in the Occasions catalog.  I made up four cards to share with you to show you that it is not just for memory keepers and scrapbookers....its great for card makers too!

My first card I simply colored the image and stamped a greeting....so easy!

 My second card I cropped and colored the image and cropped and mounted a greeting too!   I colored some of the background flowers to match in the Petal Passion DSP ( found on page 23)

 For my third card ....same thing....a little coloring.....added some bling and glitz (hard to photograph) and voila!

And finally.....I stamped the background tone on tone....added the card with the flower image and a quick greeting....so easy!

03.06.2018...Crazy Dogs ....the forgotten Valentines...

I forgot to post these two Valentine cards I made for my Mother-In-Law Carole, and her sister Eadie. 

I used the Crazy Dogs stamps by Tim Holtz. 

I love these stamps as they put a huge smile on my face....crazy dogs!

03.05.2018....Bird Banter....

This is the third card we made in March 1st Card-maker's Class. 

It features the wonderful new stamp set called Bird Banter found on page 42 of the Occasions Catalog.  It also features the AWESOME designer series paper stack on page 29 called Tutti Fruity DSP Stack.

03.03.2018....Blast From The Past for Scrapbook Saturday....

I was going through my MANY scrapbook albums to select a layout to share with you today as I did not have time last Saturday to scrapbook.  I came across this awesome layout I made in August 2014 which I absolutely love.

Every time I look at this it makes me smile....not only the sweet memories of that weekend with my grand-kids or the cuteness of my granddaughter Brielle in this photo....but the fun I had making this layout.

I took a white piece of 12 x 12 cardstock and painted the design in bright colors and let it dry completely ( waiting was the hard part) .

Next I cut the sheet into strips....I think they were 1 3/4" strips.

Then I put them through the distresser to give them added interest and the raggedy look.

I glued them in place on the background cardstock and let them dry completely.

Then I ran them through my sewing machine with dark thread for even more contrast.

A gorgeous picture and a few embellishments and project life cards completed this page.

Yes it was time consuming....but even now...four years later it still brings a huge smile to my face....and makes me want to try another layout using this technique....hmmmm just got an idea......perhaps this Saturday....LOL.

 This gift card holder could be used for so many different occasions...Fathers Day, birthday....almost anything.
