September 17, 2020.....Inspiration Thursday.....LOTS of inspiration for you....

 Good Morning Stampers!

Today is another Inspiration Thursday.  I am sharing projects from my stampers who are taking part in my September Creative Inspiration Calendar Challenge.

At the end of August I sent all my girls a calendar that had a creative challenge for each day of the month and encouraged them to send me pics of their completed challenges, so I could post them to inspire others.

Well...Carole has certainly rose to the challenges!  She has completed EVERY daily challenge so far this month! Wow!

She says that she likes the challenge calendar as it motivates her to get into her craft room and use her products for a few minutes every day.

Now I will be honest with you, there were two challenges that I would have bet money that she would not do.....and she did them!  Call me impressed!

Ok enough babble I sound like a proud mother hen....here are Carole's beautiful challenge projects:

September 10- Make a card following a sketch:

September 11- make a fun fold card

September 12- Make a Thinking of You card

September 13- Choose three Stampin' Up! colors to make a card

September 14- make a card using a die

September 15- make a scrapbook layout

September 16- clean your craft room and organize your stuff

September 17- make and mail a card to someone for no reason...just to let them know you are thinking of them

Aren't her projects FABULOUS!

Carole, thanks so much for sharing and inspiring others.

Scrapbooking Global September Blog Hop- Celebrate!

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to our Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop for September!

This month's theme is "Celebrate" - now this can be taken in many, many different directions.....however, I chose to Celebrate Christmas!

And...since I just purchased a fabulous new scrapbook album that holds a whopping 80    8 1/2 x 11 pages I decided to make the first layout for that album!

 Here is my layout:

I started with an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of Whisper White thick cardstock.

Next I die cut a sheet of Real Red cardstock with the Sweetest Time border dies.  I also cut an extra candy and candy cane.

The rest of the sheet was used to create the photo mats:

1@ 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
2 @ 3 1/4 x 3 1/4

The designer series paper was cut just 1/4 inch smaller and I opted for one of the smaller ones to be used as a journaling card.

The greeting was cut from Garden Green cardstock with the Playful Alphabet dies.

The ornaments and journal greeting were from the Christmas Gleaming Bundle.

Here is a close up of the ornaments that are popped up on the layout:

And here is a close up of the journal greeting that is also cut out and popped up for some added dimension:

And one last look.....

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Around The World On Wednesday September Blog Hop- Tag Team....

 Happy Wednesday Stampers!

Welcome to another Around The World on Wednesday Blog Hop!

Today I am hopping around the world, with some FABULOUS stampers and our theme this month is "Tag Team"

Here is our challenge:

Tag Team is the general theme for the September 2020 Blog Hop with a specific focus on creating TWO (2) coordinating projects!

Another fun interpretation for you to get creative with... two coordinating projects is the only requirement.

It's up to you to decide what they will be! You could go with something seasonal or even an occasion if you choose... or something as simple as color coordination are just a few ideas to get you thinking if you don't know where to begin. The sky's the limit with what you can create for this blog hop...

So.....this is what I came up with for this theme:

My choice was a fun Christmas card and coordinating gift tag!
Here is a close up view of the card:

For the card, I chose Granny Apple Green for my card base and Poppy Parade for my mat layer.

I love this color combination but was unable to find in all my designer series paper a coordinating sheet!

Well that was not a problem....I just made my own!  Simply stamp a background and colored with coordinating Stampin' Blends!

Then, the rest was just fun.....I used the Menangerie Mix Up Bundle from page 67.  These critters are so fun!  The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. The stitched triangle dies made quick work of my Christmas Tree Punch art.

And here is a close up of the coordinating gift tag:

Same products as above, just used the Tailored Tag punch to flag the end and a corner rounder on the top edge!

And one final look at the pair:

Don't you love all the gorgeous texture created by the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder!

My colors are Basic Black, Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green.   Love the fresh pop of this color combination!

Friday, Sept. 4, 2020......The Forgotten Ones....from July 2....

 Happy Friday Stampers!

I have been very bad at blogging this summer.  Here in Manitoba, our summers are short and there just never seems to be enough hours in the day.  Unfortunately, my blog has been neglected badly.  But...I am here to change that ....and I have a lot of cards from summer classes that I need to share with you!

This first set of cards was from my July 2 Technique and Fun Fold Card Class.  This punch card used the Daisy and Medium Daisy punches to create fabulous 3D flowers for the cards.

This second set of cards features the FABULOUS Zany Zebra stamp set found on page 104 of the Annual Catalog.  The scrappy strip technique makes for a bright and fun card set!

And to finish out this class we used the oh so cute  Hippo Happiness Bundle found on page 49 of the Annual Catalog. The braided technique was a fun twist on this card set!

Be sure to come back and check out the next three forgotten cards tomorrow!

Thursday, September 3, 2020 All About Challenges. . .

Occasionally, I throw out a card making challenge, to my girls, as I did last weekend.

The challenge was to use shapes in the making of a card.

Well one of my girls, Carole truly loves a good challenge and these were her fabulous interpretations of last weekends shape challenge:

Isn't this fabulous!  Thanks to Carole for allowing me to share this beauty with you.

And....to sweeten this post even more....last week I sent out a Monthly Creative Challenge Calendar.  Each day of September is a different creative challenge!  How fun is that!

I thought this might spark a bit of creativity for someone who was not feeling particularly creative.

Here is that calendar:

So...Tuesday September 1 challenge was to make a female birthday card....Carole is the only one so far to respond to that challenge....here is her Gorgeous card:

Wednesday, September 2 challenge was to make a card and send it to someone for no particular occasion....just to brighten their day.....again Carole rose to the challenge....here is her card for a friend going through chemo right now:

And finally....today is Thursday, September 3.....today's challenge was to try a new technique that you have never done before....Carole chose the Retiform Technique for her card:

Carole...again thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous work.  You are a rock star for these challenges so far.  And hopefully, your work inspires others to stamp and share!

Now my challenge to the rest of my girls and blog readers.....try one or more or all of my challenges on the September Challenge Calendar.

Each time you send me a photo of your completed challenge you get your name in a draw.....the more you complete the more chances you get to win a prize at the end of September!
