THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2021......TECHNIQUE THURSDAY....DISTRESSING AND MORE.....

 

Hey, Hey, Hey stampers!  Happy Thursday!  

Last night I hosted my Wednesday night Facebook Live....and I did things a little differently.  

The card we made featured three techniques: 

• distressing
• split panel cut
• blender pen coloring

And it was designed for the guys! Here is the card I made: 

I completed the card during the live and then asked the participants to grab their catalog and turn to page 70.....this is where they found a card very similar to mine......I used the most valuable tool.....the catalog.....I found a card I liked and CASED it....I changed it up and made it to my liking but still the idea came from the catalog itself. 

I wanted to show the girls that they can find inspiration whenever they are feeling a loss of creative mojo.

WEDNESDAY, FEB 10, 2021.....SOON TO RETIRE ITEMS AND EARN FREE PRODUCTS....

 

This year there is a change in catalog dates, meaning that the retiring products list will be coming out in March this year.  

Typically once products hit the retiring list they sell out very quickly. 

I had a thought....if I showed you the products that I know for sure are going to retire now....you are ahead of the game and IF YOU ORDER BEFORE FEB 28 you can earn SALE-A-BRATION FREEBIES too!!

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2021....AROUND THE WORLD ON WEDNESDAY....YOU'VE GOT MAIL...

 

Hey, hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  

I am especially happy today as this is the second Wednesday of the month....that means Around The World On Wednesday Blog Hop!  

This is a global blog hop with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we have a specific theme and base our project on that theme.  

This month it was "You've Got Mail, with a specific focus on the inside"  hmmmm....I will admit this one was a challenge for me.

I can make a wow on the outside no problem....but the inside.....geesh!   I was stumped!

  But I went in my craft room and just sat there and found a stamp set and it went on from there.  This card was VERY time-consuming!  Here is what I came up with: 

Now from the outside, this looks like a regular card....which is what I was going for....nothing special....just a regular card.

  

But to up the wow factor for the inside, I used double-sided DSP for the card base and put the pretty flower print on the inside!   

I also decided to make this a fun fold with four panels that opened in different directions. I do not know the name of the fold as I have never seen one before. it is just something I made up as I went along. 

Also, I made it a peek a boo window card that worked on three of the four panels!

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2020....#CASING TUESDAY 289....SAILING HOME.....

Today I am playing along with the CASE-ing Tuesday challenge!  

This was our challenge this week: 

 

I wanted to challenge myself a bit more bycreating a masculine card. 

So...I chose the Sailing Home stamp set and followed the sketch more than the card.....I also moved my circles lower and offset them....here is what I came up with:

Hope you are staying warm.....temperature at the airport at 6 am was -47   brrrrrr!  Now that is cold.  I know my poor car did not like it this morning....lol.....no heat drive across the city this morning.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2021.....STAMP WITH SHEL.....STITCHED CIRCLE TECHNIQUE......VIDEO TUTORIAL

 

Hey, hey stampers! 

Today we had a fun Facebook Live playing with the stitched circle technique.  

Yesterday I made a card for a blog hop (check back Wednesday to see that card) and I had a whole bunch of circles left laying on my desk.  

I challenged myself to do something with those circles....and was happy with the outcome....so the stitched circle technique was born.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2021.....FAN FARE FOLD VIDEO TUTORIAL WITH STORAGE IDEA FOR BLENDER BRUSHES....

The card is called a Fan Fare Fold and is super easy to do and is a fabulous fun fold!

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 2, 2021......ALL WIRED UP FOR HEY CHICK......WITH INK PAD SWIPE TECHNIQUE.....

Happy Tuesday and Happy Ground Hog Day! 

I don't have any groundhog card for you today....so some chickens will have to do.....and I believe it is fitting because today is the release day for the two chicken bundles!  Woot Woot!   

My card today features two stamp sets and a technique too! 

Here is my card: 

I absolutely love these fun chicken stamps! 

These are the supplies I used for my card: 

• All Wired Up stamp set
• Hey Chick stamp set & dies
• Whisper White card stock (card base, art panel, chickens, and tag)
• Early Espresso card stock(mat layer & tag)
• Soft Suede card stock (mat layer)
• Memento Black ink pad (greeting)
• Gray Granite ink pad (fence)
• Crumb Cake ink pad (dirt/ground) 
• Stampin Blends 
• Double oval punch

Super Easy Instructions: 

1. Stamp and color and die-cut your chickens
2. Stamp and punch your greeting
3. Stamp the all-wired-up background stamp on the art panel then swipe with a crumb cake ink pad to make dirt/ground. It makes a cool texture to it as well. 
4. Then all you have to do is put all the pieces together....I put my chickens and greeting on dimensionals.
