06.30.2017....Guy Greetings for Father's Day....

Here is a Father's Day card I made using the Guy Greetings stamp set found on page 36.

I used an aqua painter and quickly painted some ground (Crumb Cake) and some sky (Marina Mist and Dapper Denim combo).

Once that was dried ( helped along by my trusty heat tool) I stamped the greeting and the car image using Black Archival Ink.

Then I grabbed the aqua painter again and colored the car using Cherry Cobbler ink.

A couple of Dapper Denim mats and some faux buttons made of punched gold foil completes this card.

06.29.2017...Punch Art Fun...

I had a request for a child's birthday card, and I do not have many current birthday stamps for children.  So...this is what I came up with.

The card base is Basic Black.

I used a strip of scrap pink cardstock for the mouth and just cut it freehand.

The face is Bermuda Bay card stock that was textured with an embossing folder.

The eyes and nose were made with assorted circle punches using Basic Black, Whisper White, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette.

The teeth were scraps of Whisper White that I cut freehand.

A little accenting with a white gel pen and I was done.

Cuteness overload.....I was quite happy with how this one turned out.

I received this beautiful Random Act of Kindness card from Barb Holicky.

I love the color combo and the clean and simple design....LOVE IT!

She used the new Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper and the new Pieces and Patterns stamp set, both found on page 41.

The embossed strip is done with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder found on page 210.

Also check out the glimmery flower centers....those are the new Clear Faceted Gems found on page 197.

6.22.2017...Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. . .

Have you checked out the new thicker embossing folders- called Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders?   They are similar to our regular Textured Impressions Embossing Folders but they leave a deeper impression with more detail and a 3D effect.   You should spritz them lightly with water before running through the Big Shot so the paper does not crack, and no bottom cutting plate is required as they are much thicker.   Here is how to do it:  Start with you Big Shot Platform.  If you are using the platform with the hinges, you will want all the tabs 'out'. Lay the Dynamic TIEF directly on the Big Shot platform (no bottom cutting plate). Place your card stock inside the Dynamic TIEF.   Some die cutting machines can 'cut' through the paper.  It's best to test on a scrap piece of card stock first.  If your Dynamic TIEF is cutting into the paper, you should spritz with water first.  This allows the paper to flex and emboss without tearing. Place a cutting plate on top of the Dynamic TIEF.  Run through your Big Shot machine Just look at the super deep impression it leaves! Now, you can leave it 'as is' or you can gently sponge ink to make the impressions pop even more!

I belong to a group (Make A Card, Send A Card) that simply sends a card to someone you don't know to brighten their day.

Here is a sweet card I forgot to post.

I received this beauty from the Canadian Stampin' Up! head office at the end of May!  Check out his glittery wing!

It is to celebrate my Stampin' Up! Anniversary that was on May 8th.

I LOVE this card soooooo much.......I cannot wait to purchase this Fabulous Flamingo stamp set found on page 177 of the new annual catalog!!!

I received another RAK card in the mail from Sandra Donald in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Oh how those daisies made me smile!

Wowzers!  This put a huge smile on my face and made my day!
