Today's post features simple cards for Easter! All of these cards used item#131527 Note Cards and Envelopes. This is a super-easy way to start creating cards. I also focused on the soon to retire in colors- Pineapple Punch, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick. The stamp sets were #151544 Easter Promise and #151559 Welcome Easter. Here are close up views of each card:
Today's simple stamping card features the fun MUSIC FROM THE HEART stamp set found on page 57 of the Mini Catalog.
This is basically stamps, ink, and paper. I did a wee bit of coloring for contrast and added a colored card base in Real Red and a strip of Basic Black to make it pop! Simple and beautiful!
So I have a story for you today....a frustrating almost unbelievable story....but with a very happy and creative ending.
I pre-ordered some of the new Sale-A-Bration items so that I could get them and make a few samples BEFORE they came available to customers.
My parcel arrived in Winnipeg on Thursday, February 27th. It was not delivered on Thursday, I got a notice from UPS in my email stating that it would be delivered on Friday. Great!
Friday, February 28th comes....no parcel! Frustrating!
Saturday, February 29th.....no delivery available!
Sunday, March 1st....no delivery was available!
A totally wasted weekend where I could have been cranking out samples! Geez!
Monday, March 2nd.....I got another notice from UPS in my email stating that it would be delivered Monday......no parcel!
Tuesday, March 3rd....I got yet another notice from UPS stating it would be delivered Tuesday.....no parcel!
Wednesday, March 4th.....You guessed it....another email notice from UPS stating it would be delivered Wednesday....
I FINALLY got my parcel Wednesday at 3 pm.......yep it sat in Winnipeg Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and I finally got it Wednesday.
Yah...isn't that great service? NOT!
Sat here in a UPS warehouse for SIX DAYS!!!! GRRRRRRR......
But now for the upside.....one of the items in the box was the new FLOWERING FOILS Specialty Designer Series Paper... OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This stuff is WONDERFUL!
So when I got home I had to make something.....here is what I came up with:
I was going to cut out one of the big floral images and these were along the side....which would typically be scrap as they were not full flowers....and I thought, wait a minute.....lets put them along the edge and use them! I grabbed my ink blending brushes and added some Rococo Rose and some Mossy Meadow Ink. The berries were filled in with a Merry Merlot Marker.
Here is a close up of the flowers:
And a close up of the ribbon and bakers twine....the ribbon is the Merry Merlot/ Copper Reversible Ribbon and the baker's twine was colored with a Stampin Blend Mossy Meadow marker. The Champagne Rhinestones were the perfect finish!
This gorgeous foiled paper does all the work for you.....and it is a Sale-A-Bration FREEBIE! Woo HOO!!!!!!
Here is a video so you can see this gorgeous paper close up:

And this is the inside:
And this is the gorgeous Pinterest card I got my inspiration from:
My card is pretty much a direct case, (why mess with her perfection) but I opted for brighter yellow, a different punch for the greeting, and only sequins inside the shaker and glittery wings on my bees.

First off, I must apologize for only three samples for this kit.....truthfully I peeked at it when I received it....but I did not create anything with it until today!
I have been very busy so these cards are basically as per the instructions in the kit with a change out of a couple of ink colors, and rearranging the greeting placement.
The kit comes with Rococo Rose and I added Pretty Peacock and Rich
Razzleberry inks.
Once I make some samples and put my own twist on them I will share them with you. I cannot wait to cut into those envelopes and use that beautiful inside for a card front!

Oh my GOSH! Wow!
I first must apologize... this is going to be a long post full of lots of photos and a video.
This Botanical Prints Product Medley is FANTASTIC!!
I have tons of cards I made to share with you today, along with samples from Stampin' UP! and a video! Grab a beverage and settle in stampers.....here we go!
I cannot say enough good things about this product medley. I have made nine cards thus far and I am not even 1/4 of the way through the products......it is HUGE! Talk about good value! Here is a video from Stampin' Up!
And here are my cards:
These first two cards are 4x4 size and I used one 33/4 x 3 3/4 piece of laser-cut paper and the same size of designer series paper. I just flipped them and have two totally different cards using the same supplies!
The lacy strip on the bottom of this card is the same sheet of laser paper as above....just cut off a wee strip and fussy cut
Clean and crisp and simple...
For this one I changed it up a bit....I colored the designer series paper with my stampin blends...
Another simple card but let the designer series paper do all the work....
How about this bright and cheery beauty....gotta love the fabulous dsp
And my last card....I pulled out a retired stamp set and punch....because the lemon paper screamed to have a lemon on it....easy peasy!
This massive kit includes:
Botanical Prints distinktive stamp set
Coordinating 7 pc Botanical Prints die set
48 sheets of GORGEOUS designer series paper- double sided
4 sheets of die cut accents
4 sheets of AWESOME laser cut overlays
Roll of Old Olive 1/4" Twill Ribbon
12 copper metal bee embellishments (SO CUTE!)
For the nine cards above I used 8 sheets of the dsp and one laser overlay and one bee. I have TONS of stuff left ....woo hoo!
