Inspired Sketches #2

Here is card number two in my Inspired Sketches series: 

For this card, I chose a Poppy Parade card base.  

I used one of the stamps to create my own DSP and before I added it to the card front I glued a couple of strips of Basic Black cardstock to make it pop.  

Next, I stamped the greeting and the bird image. and die-cut using Stylish Shapes dies. 

I cut another of the largest circles in Basic Black.  I  then sliced it in half and glued it to the back side- again to make the image pop. 

Some black baker's twine is my only embellishment on this card.

Inspired Sketches #1

This week I am featuring the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set found on page 110 of the Annual Catalog. 

Each day I will share a project with you featuring this stamp.

This is a gatefold card with a belly band.  It features an ink-blended focal background and a little bird image.  

The colors are Basic White, Lost Lagoon, and Pecan Pie.

 Here is #17 in my Thoughtful Wishes series!

For today's card, I used the splotch stamp to create a background for my die cut. 

I chose the color combo from the DSP.  I never would have thought to put Wild Wheat and Pretty Peacock together!
