Bokeh Birthday Wishes

The bokeh (out of focus photography term) technique is hot right I thought I had better give it a try.

I took a piece of whisper white cardstock and applied color randomly with sponge daubers. I chose baked brown sugar, so saffrom, pistachio pudding and coastal cabana.

Then I took my circles stencil and added a few colored dots. Then I grabbed my whisper white ink and added lots of white dots.

I used my heat tool to dry the white ink as it takes FOREVER to dry.

I stamped two feather images in versamark on vellum from the Four Feathers stamp set.  I used black embossing powder and set it with the heat tool.  I used the coordinating framelits to cut them out. The greeting is from the Four You stamp set.

I used mini glue dots on the back side of the feathers and behind the embossed letters to attach the vellum to the card front.

Now I have a great card I could use for a guy or a girl!

  1. Love this! It looks so difficult to accomplish but from your excellent explanation, I think I can do it, too!
