07.24.2017....Ombre Water-colored Background Technique
Happy Monday morning to you....and let's start the week off with me sending you some sunshine!
This is a cool card I taught in my July Techniques Card Class. It features the Ombre Water-Colored Background Technique.
To achieve this look you use an aqua painter and four ink colors that get progressively darker.
In this sample I started with Daffodil Delight ink and just painted a line at the top of the card.
For the next line I loaded my brush with Daffodil Delight ink and then picked up some Pear Pizzazz ink.
Now I cleaned my brush and did the next stripe in Pear Pizzazz.
For the next line I loaded my brush with Pear Pizzazz ink and then picked up some Bermuda Bay Ink.
Now I cleaned my brush and did the next stripe in Bermuda Bay.
For the next line I loaded my brush with Bermuda Bay ink and then picked up some Dapper Denim.
Now I clean my brush and did the final stripe in Dapper Denim.
While I waited for my background to dry I stamped and die cut my glasses and the word sunshine. I applied fine tip glue pen to the lenses to make them shiny...tip a thin layer dries much faster than a thick layer.
