February 13, 2020.....Custom Valentine for a Co-Worker. . .

So.... I wanted to pop on and share with you a custom valentine that was requested for his girlfriend.  He had very specific requirements....it needed to be super sappy and lovey-dovey as well as cute and fun.  Geez, that was a challenge.

Well, you know me....never run from a challenge.

So, I opened my catalogs and started writing down stamp sets and greetings from each set that I might be able to use.  The list was MASSIVE.  I couldn't believe it!  Maybe...just maybe this would not be as difficult as I anticipated.

While I was going through the catalog I came upon the Mini Pizza boxes on page 172 and inspiration struck!  I was going to make a never-ending card in a box!

Well on Saturday I set myself down in "the cave" and got to creating.

Here is what I came up with:

So the card actually looks like a little present.

I used the GORGEOUS From My Heart Specialty DSP to "zazz" up the outside of the white pizza box.

The ribbon was from my retired stash, but went beautifully with this project.

When you untie the ribbon and open the lid this is what you see:

And here is what happens when you start lifting the card:

Here it is fully opened....showing 10 of the 11 panels that make up this card:

Here are some closeup shots:

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Make the day special for someone you love.

I read a story yesterday about a woman in Michigan who made 500 valentines cards and donated them to meals on wheels so that the seniors would each get a valentine card and feel special....how's that for a feel good story.

Who can you think of that you can make feel special?
