Around The World On Wednesday Blog Hop

Today I am participating in the Around The World on Wednesday Blog Hop!

My creative pals and I hope to inspire you with our theme challenge of Let's Take A Walk.

When I saw this challenge I knew immediately that I wanted to do a fun fold and I wanted to use the By My Side #159006 stamp set.

Here is a look at that cute stamp set:

I also added Rays of Light #158925, Playing In The Rain #160542 and Just My Type #161614 stamps to complete my card. Here is a look at these stamps:

Here is what I came up with:

The front of my card features a rainy-day scene...

The first opening panel shows a sunny day scene....

And the third inside panel shows the little boy and his dog. I added a Basic White panel on the inside flap so I had lots of room to write my message.

Poppy Parade card stock

Basic Black card stock

Basic White card stock

Memento Black ink pad

Lemon Lolly ink pad

Gray Granite ink pad

Balmy Blue ink pad

Granny Apple Green ink pad

Blending Brushes

Assorted Stampin' Blends

Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Measurements:

Card Base : Poppy Parade: 2@ 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score 4 1/4

Mat Layers: Basic Black: 3@ 4 x 5 1/4

Image Layers: Basic White: 3@ 3 3/4 x 5

Greetings & Umbrella: Basic White scrap

Instructions:

Fold the card bases on the the score lines and burnish them flat with a bone folder.
Turn the card bases so that both openings face each other.
Glue the back of the right card base to the inside of the left card base using Tombow.
Stamp the images on the Basic White panels using a Memento Black ink pad.
Stamp the greetings and the umbrella on Basic White scrap using a Memento Black ink pad.
Color the images as desired with Stampin' Blends.
Add color to sky/ground as desired using ink pads and a blender brush.
Glue the stamped and colored panels onto the Basic Black mat layers using Tombow.
Glue the girl/bird to the front panel of the card. Glue the girl/ butterfly to the next inside panel. Glue the boy/dog to the third inside panel.
Glue a Basic White cardliner to the inside flap.
Cut out the umbrella and greetings and attach them to card panels.
