Template Tuesday...

During last night's Template Tuesday Facebook Live, I changed things up a bit and made cards following a template+were a one-sheet wonder + were fun folds!

Here are my cards:

This first set were created following the template but I changed up the DSP and the embellishment so they were totally different.

The DSP and the leaves are from the Frames and Flowers 12x12 DSP #163765.  The circular die cut is from the Spotlight on Nature Bundle#163581

This second card the DSP is from the To Market 12x12 DSP and the images and die cuts are from the Spotlight on Nature Bundle #163581

Prior to the video I made two alternate cards that I shared using the Pencilled Pear stamp set #163526:

This first card was stamped and colored and then I used a speckle stamp from another set to add some detail to the background.

For this card, I stamped the image and then used a blending brush to quickly color the images and highlight the background.

You could also color the pears after ink blending if you wanted them to pop more, but I was going for a subtle, simple look for this one.

Technique Focus- Pastels....

ENJOY CREATIVITY
Technique Focus—Pastels
Looking for a technique? Grab a few Soft Pastels and Blending Brushes and explore how fun and easy it is to decorate your projects using pastels!

For this card, we used the blade of our Paper Snips Scissors to scrape shavings off our Flirty Flamingo Soft Pastel onto scrap paper. We picked up the shavings with a Blending Brush and applied it evenly to our card base.

We love this technique because it allows us to add lots of less-saturated color to our projects.

Like what you see? Try  out some new techniques using Soft Pastels—the possibilities are endless!

CASEing Metallics.....

ENJOY CREATIVITY
CASEing Metallics
Looking for an eye-catching card with a huge wow factor? Think metallics! Our Textured Metallic Specialty Paper is a great place to start—you’ll love the shimmer and shine! In fact, it creates a “flashy,” super-fun card with the retro Tune In Bundle. The result is a CASEing success!

Start using Bubble Bath Cardstock and the new Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. Stamp the television set in Jet Black StāzOn ink on Textured Metallic Specialty Paper for a look that’s rich and deep. Then heat emboss the Silver Foil “screen” using silver Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder to create some fun texture. Finally, stamp the sentiment in VersaMark ink on Berry Burst Cardstock, add white Basics Wow! Embossing Powder, and heat emboss.

Such a beautiful and unique card!

As always, we invite you to CASE this project and add your own fun touches. And be sure to post the results on social media so we can admire your work!

Saying Hey and MORE...

Last night was my weekly free online card class.

I featured the Saying Hey stamp set and paired it with a whole bunch of other new products!

Here are my cards:

These first two cards showcase the new Wood Texture Specialty Paper hidden on the bottom of page 100.  I inked the first card with Pool Party and a blending brush and I inked the second card with Pecan Pie and Early Espresso.

These next two cards were super simple.....just hinge-stamped the greeting and die-cut the butterflies and snipped them apart!

And the final two cards look like a Polaroid photo.....I used the fabulous scene-building set called In The Grove ....the first mountains were stamped in Gray Granite and the second mountains were stamped in Pebbled Path. Both have the grass in Old Olive and the trees in Mossy Meadow.

What do you think of the new Basic Beige?  I actually love it ....which totally surprised me!  Ha ha!

Enjoy Creativity With the Friendly Fins Bundle!

Step it Up
Invite someone to “make a splash” with the fin-tastic Friendly Fins Bundle! Keep your cards simple or step them up using these adorable card samples as inspiration.

CREATIVITY YOUR WAY
To make the Tu grandis si vite card, we stamped the outline image of the dolphin, and then we stamped the shading image in Gray Granite ink. We didn’t want the shading image to be too strong, so we stamped off first. We die-cut the dolphin, then finished this card with a sentiment and some 2024–2026 In Color Shimmer Gems. We love how simple yet cute this card is—perfect for someone who doesn’t have a ton of time or for someone who may not have a lot of crafting experience.

For our Lass dich mal treiben card, we wanted to step things up a little bit. We added color to the card background using Summer Splash ink and a Blending Brush, and we adhered to a few die-cut coral pieces and some fish.

To create our Make a Splash card, we went all out! We used the bubbles die as a stencil to add Embossing Paste on our Basic White Cardstock panel. Then we colored the pieces of coral and fish with Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Gray Granite, Petal Pink, and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends. We love how these cards turned out, and how they allow for lots of unique creativity.
