| Creative Challenge for July | |
| Most of us know what it means to “step up” a project—but have you ever thought of stepping one “down”? The expression is not meant to be negative; it just means that we are simplifying the look of a project we admire—turning it into something we can put together in minutes with equally fabulous results! For today’s “step down,” we used a framed piece for inspiration—and CASEd its overall look to create a lovely, simple card. We didn’t use as many die cuts, removed the ribbon, and chose a clean, Basic White Cardstock base to make the colors POP! We also added a splash of Iridescent Faceted Gems and a simple, embossed sentiment for extra “wow.” Finally, instead of leaves colored with inks and a Blending Brush, we cut them from cardstock. The look is freshened up but equally beautiful! And we love how the Berry Burst, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie color combo play off one another! Have fun with “step-downs!” |
