Thursday Product Talk- Retiring Colors

I wanted to take a minute to once again remind you of Stampin' Up! decision to rejuvenate their color lineup.  This means we are losing ten colors from our four main color families.  Here are the colors that are retiring

What does this mean to you?  Well, this means that if you want paper, ink, ribbon, markers - anything in these colors you should order it NOW....cause once it is gone, it's gone...only available while supplies last

I am really going to miss the Baja Breeze, Regal Rose and Certainly Celery......

Now for the good news....what colors are coming in to replace these ones?
Yes, we have some returning favorites and a brand new never seen before color too!  Love that smoky slate...we needed a lighter, softer gray.....I am not so sure of the crushed curry...too close to the summer starfruit for my tastes...

So here is an overview for you:

So, there you have it.  All color info in one place. Remember if you want any retiring colors order it asap.

Here's a parting thought...what do you think the five new in colors are going to be on June 1st?

Personally I am hoping for some wonderful jewel tones like jade, purple and sapphire.

Tuesday Tips and Tricks-Organization and Storage- part one of four

For the next four weeks, we’ll be sharing with you some organization and storage tips and ideas. The first one is a quick and simple way to store your Baker’s Twine.

Storing Baker’s Twine like this helps get rid of the bends in the twine that is created when it is packaged.

Simply wind your Baker’s Twine around a clothespin. It doesn’t take very long, and can be done while watching TV. When you’re finished, it looks super-adorable! (Baker’s Twine is one of my favorite accessories!)

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with our Baker's Twine, here is what we currently offer:

Color Refresh- this is not really a promo....but I thought I would post it here just so everyone sees it.  Stampin Up just advised us that they are doing a color refresh in the new catalog coming out in June.
Here is what the new color line up will look like:
Now you will notice that some old colors have been brought back and a new color too!  Now take notice of the discontinued colors....these are still great colors....so if you haven't purchased them yet do so while you can because they are only available while supplies last! This includes inks, markers, cardstocks, ribbons etc in these discontinued colors.

Product Talk Thursday-Crystal Effects

Crystal Effects Uses
1.  It gives a high-gloss finish to any image.  Use a brush to apply a thing coat and let it dry.  Make certain that you clean the brush as soon as you finish.
2.  You can add a drop or two of dye ink refill to the Crystal Effects to produce a high gloss colored finish.
3.  Crystal Effects works great as an adhesive to add buttons and heavier embellishments to your work.
4.  To create 3-D effect to your work; simply apply a thick line of Crystal Effects to the outline of the image.  Set this aside and let it dry.  After it has dried, add a thinner coat of Crystal Effects to the inside area of the outlined image.
5.  Make icicles; apply a thick line of Crystal Effects on a piece of waxed paper.  Using a tooth pick, pull down lines of the Crystal Effects to look like icicles.  Sprinkle gently with Dazzling Diamond glitter.  Let this dry.  When it is completely dry, you can lift the icicle off or the waxed paper and apply it where you want on your card or scrapbook page.  Attach this with a thin layer of Tombo Multi-Purpose glue.
Features of Crystal Effects:
It is water based for easy clean up.
It dries completely within an hour, depending on the thickness it is applied.
It is acid free and safe for scrapbooks.

Tips on using Crystal Effects:
1.  Do not shake Crystal Effects.
2.  It can be used with any color medium.
3.  Clean the tip and recap after use to prevent the tip from drying and clogging.
4.  It is best to use Crystal Effects within a year.
