Welcome to my blog today....we are hopping around the world today with my creative friends over at Around The World on Wednesday Blog Hop.
This month's theme is a bit different.....it is a Rainbow Monochrome Challenge. Each time zone in the world has been assigned a specific color. Then we are to use shades of that color as well as black and white to create our project! Fun!
My color is yellow.....so.....and because I just got the new in-colors I took a bit of creative licence and stretched the yellow theme to include Pale Papaya..... this is what I came up with:
Don't you just love the Magnolia bundle?! I am very sad that this beautiful set is retiring! And I think it looks fabulous in Pale Papaya!
Here are a couple of close-ups:
I wish the glimmer from the wink of stella on the flower would photograph better.....in person this flower is GORGEOUS!
Here is one more look:
Now hop onto the next blog for some more creative inspiration:
If you get lost along the way here is the blog roll list:
This is a letter I just received from Stampin' Up! head office...I am sharing it with you as it affects catalog dates etc.
Although this is disappointing news, I totally understand that this is out of their control; and the decisions they have made that are described below are great decisions -it will be better for demonstrators and customers alike!
Please read:
Upcoming Product Delays
Dear Demonstrator,
We’ve recently been made aware that, due to the current global shipping crisis tied to the COVID
pandemic, we are not likely to receive the majority of product inventory for the upcoming July–
December 2021 Mini Catalog or July–August 2021 Sale-A-Bration in time for the demonstrator preorder.
After
careful consideration—and in consultation with a group of demonstrator leaders—we have
decided to push the launches of both publications back by one month to allow time for inventory
to be received.
We are sharing this information with you as far ahead as possible; so you can adjust
your planning and communication with customers and team members.
Change Details:
The July–December 2021 Mini Catalog will in effect become the August–December 2021
Mini Catalog (though the title of the publication will not change—see third bullet point
below).
Preorder: July–2 August 2,2021
Customer Sales Period: 3 August 2021–3 January 2022
July–August 2021 Sale-A-Bration will in effect become August–September 2021 Sale-ABration.
Pre-earn: 1 July–2 August 2021
Customer Earning Period: 3 August–30 September 2021
We are in the final proofing stages of the catalog and Sale-A-Bration publications and will
be able to adjust the active dates printed on those items to reflect this change and help
limit customer confusion.
Please note that we will not be changing the name of the July–
December 2021 Mini Catalog (as “July–December” is the official title of the publication)—
only the specific active dates listed on the catalog will be changed.
Additional transition information will be available toward the end of May in the Catalog
Details page under Happening Now on the demonstrator website. We will post a Weekly
Update when the information posts.
Additional Thoughts and Information:
The launch delay will help to limit frustration for both demonstrators and customers by increasing
inventory availability and predictability.
The upcoming release of the 2021–2022 Annual Catalog
provides a great opportunity to focus on those incredible products during the now additional
month before the next mini catalog and Sale-A-Bration release.
In addition, while we don’t
anticipate changing any other announced dates, we’re evaluating business plans during the
months impacted by this change for additional opportunities—with demonstrator, customer, and
business needs in mind. We will convey any additional information in future communications.
Today I am here with a follow-up post to yesterday's Facebook Live ( and YouTube) Pre-Order Unboxing.
During the video, I showed you the FANTASTIC new Pansy Petals Suite of products that included the Pansy Patch stamp set, the coordinating Pansy Dies, the Bumblebee Trinkets, and the GORGEOUS Pansy Petals DSP.
Today we are going to talk specifically about the DSP.
A fellow demonstrator, Lois Schuerman has already been experimenting with her DSP and has shared that:
In case you may be wondering how many pansies you can cut out of one sheet of the Pansy Petals DSP, I just used the Pansy Dies to cut one sheet of the DSP and now have:
7 large and 6 small Polished Pink pansies
8 large and 8 small Fresh Freesia pansies
4 large and 8 small Pale Papaya pansies
5 large and 6 small Bumblebee pansies
I just die cut 49 leaves out of a 4x12 strip of the Pansy Petals DSP
This is fantastic news!!!!.....geesh think of all the gorgeous cards we are going to be able to make with this DSP. And to have the coordinating products too! Woot Woot! This is great news!
Welcome to my blog today and thank you for joining me as I go blog hopping with my creative stamping pals over at the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop!
This month's theme is birthdays.....and I will be honest....I was having a creative block! Everything I tried was a total fail. Do you ever have a creative block?
Well, when that happens to me I either find a sketch to get me started, or grab my catalog and find a sample for inspiration to get my creative juices flowing.
I went to the annual catalog on page 9, and there is a card sample that gave me inspiration....it is the card with the red arrow:
And here is a look at the soon to retire FABULOUS Boho Indigo Product Medley.....this kit is HUGE!
Here is the description of this kit:
Stamps, paper, dies, and accessories for creating whatever you want—let your creativity run free!
Includes:
11-piece photopolymer stamp set
48 sheets of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper,
Very Vanilla 6" x 6" dry embossed sheets
die cuts with gold foil accents
Night of Navy 1/2" Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon, 10 yards
Very Vanilla/gold 1/4" Pleated Ribbon, 10 yards
paper flowers, 20 each in 2 sizes;
12-piece Boho Indigo Dies
Colors: Garden Green, gold, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, white
Ok....so here is my card:
As you can see, a few simple changes like an embossed background and a card base that shows behind DSP, changing up the die-cut elements, and adding alternate embellishments gives this card a totally different look.
Now it really helped that I had this FABULOUS kit with loads of options and elements to use. The only stamping I did on this card was the greeting- crazy eh!
(As I was proofreading this post, I laughed out loud at the "crazy eh" that I typed above. Nothing like typing a post as if you were speaking aloud! I was going to remove it, but decided not to....it is me....and I thought you might get a smile or a laugh...so it stays!)
If you wish, I have a video tutorial on this card, and one more made with this FABULOUS that can be found here:
Remember....this kit is retiring.....if you want it .....order now before they are gone!
Until next time.....stay safe my friends
Now hop on over to the next blog for some more creative goodness:

HERE IS A VIDEO TUTORIAL, SHOWING HOW I MADE THIS CARD:
TODAY I AM HERE TO SHARE WITH YOU A FABULOUS BUNDLE FOUND ON PAGE 70 OF THE ANNUAL CATALOG ....ITEM #152575 FLOWERING BLOOMS BUNDLE:
CHECK OUT THIS BEAUTIFULLY DETAILED DISTINCTIVE STAMP SET AND THE FABULOUS GREETINGS!
AND THE COORDINATING DIES TOO!
HERE IS MY CARD, INSPIRED BY THE SAMPLE CARD ON PAGE 70:
NOW, I AM NOT GOING TO PRETEND THIS CARD WAS EASY FOR ME TO CREATE...I PERSONALLY DID NOT LIKE THE YELLOW PAIRED WITH THE GRAPE. IT TOOK ALL I HAD IN ME NOT TO CHANGE IT....LOL....BUT I WANTED TO CASE THE CATALOG SAMPLE WITHOUT CHANGING TOO MUCH.
MY BANNER IS SMALLER, MY BANNER IS EMBOSSED, MY BUFFALO CHECK LAYER IS SMALLER TO ALLOW THE WHITE CARD BASE TO SHOW, MY TAG IS DIFFERENT AND LAYERED, MY RIBBON IS DIFFERENT, MY COLORS FOR THE FLOWER ARE DIFFERENT.
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO TAKE YOUR CATALOG....AND GO THROUGH IT PAGE BY PAGE. DO NOT LOOK AT THE STAMPS AND DIES AND PRETTY PAPERS AND EMBELLISHMENTS. FOCUS ONLY ON THE SAMPLES. MARK THE ONES THAT APPEAL TO YOU. THINK OF WAYS YOU CAN CHANGE THEM UP TO MAKE THEM YOUR OWN. USE YOUR CATALOG AS INSPIRATION.
I HOPE YOU ALL HAD A FABULOUS WEEKEND AND WERE ABLE TO GET OUTSIDE AND ENJOY SOME OF THE GLORIOUS WINNIPEG WEATHER!
I SAW TONS OF PEOPLE WORKING ON THEIR YARDS AND GARDENS, REPLACING DOORS AND WINDOWS....AND SIMPLY SITTING IN THE YARD ENJOYING THE WONDERFUL WEATHER!
I AM HERE TODAY WITH A VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR YOU FEATURING BACK ON YOUR FEET STAMP SET. THIS VIDEO TEACHES YOU AN AWESOME TECHNIQUE FOR USING THE LEFTOVER RUBBER FROM YOUR STAMP SETS!!! HERE IS MY CARD:
Today I have three cards of my own to share with you made with the oh so fabulous Enjoy The Moment stamp set found on page 59 of the J2J Mini Catalog. As well as three more cards made by Stampin' Up! artists!
As an added bonus I also have a video tutorial for you showing how I made the three cards!
Here are my cards:
This one is my personal favorite of the three.....I love the collage background with the neutrals and the pop of gold in the ribbon.
Next is I used the images to create my own dsp in blue and orange tones.
And my final card I stamped the card base for added interest, used the collage background idea again with a different focal image, and linen thread this time.
Here are the three cards designed by Stampin' Up! artists, and an image of the stamp set:
Grab a beverage and settle in for this week's stuff you need to know.....

UPCOMING CHANGES TO PHOTOPOLYMER stamps
One of our values at Stampin’ Up! is to Better Our Best, which means that from time to time we review our processes and procedures. Through some analysis, we’ve identified some manufacturing improvements we could make to our photopolymer stamps process.
With our new process, we will now include an extended insert in the case, with the stamp images printed on the front (as usual) and on the back. That means as you open your stamp case you’ll be able to see the stamp images on both sides of your case. The photopolymer stamp sets will no longer include the printed acetate sheet; instead, the stamps will come between two clear sheets. You and your customers will be able to stick the stamps directly to the case over the images on the insert.
This change will not impact Paper Pumpkin stamps and photopolymer stamps that come with all-inclusive kits. Because these stamps don’t have a case, we will continue to offer the printed sheet so you and your customers know which stamps are in the set.
Our photopolymer stamps will still function the same and are still made with our high-quality see-through photopolymer material. The benefit of this change is that it will help us increase the number of photopolymer stamps we can produce, which helps us meet our supply needs quicker.

Our North American distribution center is currently shipping a few days behind our normal time frames.
