 Today I thought I would inspire you with some Valentine cards using current Stampin' Up! products from the J2A Mini catalog!

Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder (and dies)

 

Last night was my Facebook Live Online Free Class.  The featured product was the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies. 

Here is a quick look: 

There is one embossing folder and four dies that allow you to emboss or cut, or cut and emboss all in one step!  

And here are the cards I made during the video: 

These cards were a super quick and easy way to build up a small stash of cards quickly, simply by changing the greetings. 

I used the Delightful Doily Hybrid and the Stylish Shapes dies. 

The cardbases are all standard 8 1/2 x 5 1/2....the mat layers are all 4 x 5 1/4.  

A few gems and a ribbon bow completed each card.

Delicate Forest for Technique Tuesday - Reinkers!

 Happy Tuesday stampers! 

Today it is the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop and our challenge this month is Reinker Techniques! 

There were so many ways I could have gone with this challenge but I chose to add re-inkers to a Stampin Spritz bottle and filled it with rubbing alcohol.  I then spritzed my paper to create my background.  

The Delicate Forest Dies for the trees and the deer from the Grove Dies, were an easy choice!

To make our Happiest Birthday to You card, we combined Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Parakeet Party, and Tahitian Tide. And to make our You are Simply Amazing card, we combined Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly, Pumpkin Pie, and Sweet Sorbet. Try this challenge during February by picking one of our color combinations and see what you can come up with! We’ll post these cards online and share others throughout the month, so keep your eye out for more creative challenge inspiration!

It's All About The Die Cutting! Perennial Postage...

 

Happy Monday Stampers!  

Today's card is all about the die-cutting!  

I used scraps for my mat layers and die cutting....the only new card stock I used for my card was the card base.  

Here is my card featuring the Perennial Postage Bundle: 

How bright and happy is this simple beauty!  

I die cut the square postage die with Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo card stock. 

I added them to a piece of Basic Black cardstock and trimmed the four edges so they were straight. 

A simple greeting, a bow and some pearls completed this card!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the greetings in this bundle too!  

Challenge:  make a card using this die-cut technique (or cut squares with your paper trimmer) using only scraps except for your card base.

CHALLENGE CRUSHERS!

 So each week I participate in a challenge on Instagram that features a different Stampin' Up! color.  

We are challenged to make a monochromatic card using the featured color and current Stampin' Up! products. 

(My card is posted in a separate blog post earlier this morning.) 

Carole has been playing along in private, with each week's challenge. 

Today I wanted to feature her monochromatic card, featuring the color Pebbled Path.

In case you are wondering....the JUST BECAUSE greeting is from the FABULOUS new THOUGHTFUL MOMENTS Hybrid Embossing folder found on page 18 and 75 in the J2A mini.  

Simply ink the logo side of your embossing folder, add dies, add cardstock, and run it through your die-cutting machine.  It will ink/cut/emboss all in one simple easy step!

The tags are from the Something Fancy dies. 

The DSP is the Nature's Sweetness 12x12 Specialty DSP.

Beautiful Submission for My Midweek Challenge....

 Yesterday I put out a mid-week challenge.....

Today I received a beautiful submission to the challenge from Carole:

What I like:

1. stitched die-cut layer
2. two different DSP layers
3. stitched tag matches the stitched die-cut layer AND she stamped it on DSP
4. die cut leaves coordinate beautifully with DSP

My score is 10/10  you hit this one out of the ball park girl!

Nature's Sweetness ... Lovely and Sweet Gatefold...

Today's card features products from the Nature's Sweetness Suite Collection.  This is a GORGEOUS suite found on pages 40-43 of the J2A Mini Catalog.

I chose to use the cocoa bean image from the Lovely and Sweet Bundle paired with the Nature's Sweetness 12x12 Specialty Paper.

Measurements: 

Card Base: Pebbled Path: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 2 1/8 from each end

Card Liner: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Mat Layers: DSP: 2@ 2x 5 3/8
Stitched Circle: Gold Foil: 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 
Stitched Tag: Gold Foil: 1x3

Focal Image: Basic White: 3x3

Greeting: 1/4 x 3

Instructions:

1.  Fold the card base on the score lines and flatten with bone folder. 

2.  Add the Basic White card liner to the inside of the card. 

3.  Add the DSP panels to the front of the card. 

4.  Die cut the tag and stitched circle

5.  Stamp the greeting in Pebbled Path ink. 

6.  Stamp the image in Memento Black ink. 

7.  Die cut the image. 

8. Color the image with Stampin' Blends. 

9. Add the greeting to the tag and add to the right side top of the card. 

10. Add the image to the stitched gold circle with dimensional and add to the left side middle of the card

11.  Embellish with a bow.
