GDP#478- SCORED AND INKED BACKGROUND WITH HEART SHAPED BUNDLE....

 


I DECIDED TO PLAY ALONG WITH THIS WEEKS GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #478.  

HERE IS THEIR SKETCH:

I USED THE SALE-A-BRATION BUNDLE CALLED HEART SHAPED AND ADDED AN EXTRA GREETING FROM WONDERFUL THOUGHTS.

TODAY'S PROJECT WAS CREATED USING THE SALE-A-BRATION FREEBIE CALLED FRIENDLY SEAGULLS.

CARD BASE: BASIC WHITE: 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 SCORE 4 1/4 
MAT 1: CRUMB CAKE: 5 1/4 X 4
MAT 2: BOHO BLUE: 5 X 3 3/4
MAT 3:  EARLY ESPRESSO: 3 3/4 X 3/4
MAT 4: CRUMB CAKE: 3 3/4 X 1/2
CIRCLE 1: EARLY ESPRESSO: 3 1/2 X 3 1/2

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  FOLD THE CARD BASE ON THE SCORE LINE AND BURNISH IT FLAT. 

2.  ADD THE CRUMB CAKE MAT TO THE CARD FRONT TIGHT TO THE FOLD AND EVEN WITH THE BOTTOM.
 
3.  ADD THE BOHO BLUE MAT TO THE CARD FRONT TIGHT TO THE FOLD AND EVEN WITH THE BOTTOM. 

4.  ADD THE CRUMB CAKE TO THE EARLY ESPRESSO STRIP AND ADD TO THE CARD FRONT PLACED CENTERED ON THE BOHO BLUE PANEL.

5.  DIE CUT THE CIRCLES.

6.  STAMP THE GREETING AND THE SEAGULL.

7.  LAYER THE CIRCLES TOGETHER AND ADD TO CARD FRONT.

8.  COLOR THE BIRD, FUSSY CUT AND ADD TO THE CARD FRONT.

MEASUREMENTS:

CARD BASE: EARLY ESPRESSO: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 
MAT LAYER:  BASIC WHITE: 4 X 5 1/4
MAT LAYER: CRUMB CAKE: 3 3/4 X 3 3/4
DSP: TIMELESS PLAID: 3 1/4 X 4 1/2
EARLY ESPRESSO CIRCLE: 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 
WHITE CIRCLE:  3 X 3 
SEAGULLS, FRIES, GREETINGS: SCRAP WHITE

INSTRUCTIONS: 

1.  SCORE THE CARD BASE AT 4 1/4 INCHES AND BURNISH FOLD WELL. 

2.  ADD THE BASIC WHITE MAT LAYER TO THE FRONT OF THE CARD. 

3.  EMBOSS THE CRUMB CAKE MAT LAYER WITH THE  WOODGRAIN EMBOSSING FOLDER THEN ADD TO THE CENTER FRONT OF THE CARD. 

4.  ADD THE DSP LAYER TO THE FRONT OF THE CARD. 

5.  DIE CUT THE CIRCLES, STAMP THE SAND ON WHITE CIRCLE USING BASIC BEIGE INK,  AND THEN ADD THE CIRCLES TO THE FRONT OF THE CARD WITH STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS. 

6.  STAMP THE BIRDS AND FRIES WITH MEMENTO BLACK INK.  STAMP THE GREETINGS WITH EARLY ESPRESSO INK. 

7.  COLOR THE IMAGES AS DESIRED WITH STAMPIN BLENDS AND THEN FUSSY CUT. 

8.  ADD THE SEAGULLS TO THE CARD FRONT USING STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS. 

9.  FUSSY CUT THE GREETINGS AND GLUE TO CARD FRONT.

LET'S CREATE WEDNESDAY- STAMP WITH SHEL- FEATURING DAY TO CELEBRATE- A SALE-A-BRATION FREEBIE!


 Good Morning Stampers! 

Today's card features yet another free Sale-A-Bration product; the Day To Celebrate stamp set.

Now, to be honest, when I first saw this set I was not wowed.  But let me tell you....I was wrong.  

Now that I have had a chance to create with this, I have created some great cards!  I thought I would be limited with only four images, but think outside the box with this set.  

The party hat can also be a megaphone, or a traffic cone, and the pom pom can become a border....just think outside the box.

I love how this one turned out!  Great unisex card!

Supplies

Day To Celebrate stamp set (SAB freebie)

Serene Love DSP (Online Exclusive)

Layering Circle Dies (retired)

Basic White card stock

Night of Navy card stock

Daffodil Delight card stock

Real Red ink pad

Night of Navy Ink pad

Daffodil Delight ink pad

Real Red Ribbon


Measurements:

Card Base: Basic White: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score 4 1/4

Mat Layer: Night of Navy: 3 3/4 x 5

DSP Layer: 2 x 3 3/4

Scalloped Circle: Daffodil Delight: 3 1/4x 3 1/4

Focal Circle: Basic White: 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

Greeting Circle: Basic White: 1 1/2 x 1 1 /2

Tag Mat: Night of Navy: 1 3/4 x 5/8

Tag: Basic White: 1 1/2 x 3/8


Instructions:

1.  Fold the Basic White card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder. 

2.  Add Night of Navy mat layer to the front of the card.

3.  Add ribbon to the DSP layer.

4.  Add DSP to the front of the card. 

5.  Die cut the three circles using Layering Circles dies. 

6.  Stamp the 3 hats, 3 pom poms, greeting and tag.

7.  Fussy cut the hats then add to the white circle. 

8.  Layering tag greeting onto Night of Navy mat. 

9.  Glue circles together and add to card front. 

10.  Add greetings to card front. 

11.  If desired embellish with dots....I liked it plain.

LET'S CREATE TUESDAY- STAMP WITH SHEL- FUN FOLD WITH CORNER IN BLOOM WITH BLOOM IMPRESSIONS DSP- SALE-A-BRATION FREEBIES!

 

Hey Stampers! 

I am popping in today to share a card that features TWO Sale-A-Bration freebies!  

The stamp set is Corner In Bloom and the DSP is Bloom Impressions- both items are free with a qualifying order!

Supplies:

Corner In Bloom - SAB stamp set
Bloom Impressions - SAB DSP
Day To Celebrate- SAB stamp set
Basic White Card Stock
Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon
Stampin'  Blend makers
Memento Black Ink Pad
Shiny Sequins

Measurements:

Card Base:  Pumpkin Pie: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4 
Focal Mat: Pumpkin Pie: 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 
Focal Image: Basic White: 3x4
DSP: 2 x 5 3/8
Card Liner: Basic White: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8


Instructions:

1.  Fold the card base in half on the score line, then fold the front panel backward.

2.  Stamp the greeting in the bottom right corner of the card liner.  Add the Basic White liner to the inside of the card. 

3.  Add DSP to the front panel of the card.

4.  Stamp the flower image twice on the focal panel with Memento Black ink.  Also, stamp the stand-alone flower on scrap.

5.   Color the images with Stampin Blend markers 

6.  Add the focal panel to the mat layer and then attach to the front flap of the card. 

7.  Embellish with ribbon and sequins

Let's Create Monday- Stamp With Shel- Fruit Salad SAB DSP with Sping Corners Online Exclusive Bundle...


 Good (shivery cold) Monday to you!  

It is a shivery -22 degrees here today, but at least we get to see a bit of sun.  

Today's card features the Fruit Salad DSP that is a Sale-A-Bration Freebie  along with Spring Corners Bundle- a new Online Exclusive!

How You Can Make It:


Supplies:

Starstruck Embossing Folder (SAB)
Fruit Salad DSP (SAB) 
Spring Corners Bundle (OE)
Basic White Card Stock
Real Red Card Stock
Granny Apple Green Card Stock
Early Espresso Card Stock
Early Espresso Ink Pad


Measurements:

Card Base: Basic White: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Mat Layer: Granny Apple: 4 x 5 14
Mat Layer: Real Red: 4 x 1 1/2
Mat Layer: Early Espresso:2 1/2 x 5 1/4
DSP Layer: Fruit Salad: 2 1/4 x 5
Tag Mat: Early Espresso: 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
Tag: Basic White:1 1/2 x 1 1/2

Instructions:

1.  Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder.

2.  Add the Granny Apple card base to the front of the card. 

3.  Emboss the Real Red mat and then attach it to the front of the card..

4.  Layer the DSP onto the Early Espresso mat layer and then add it to the front of the card. 

5.  Stamp the greeting from the Spring Corner bundle and cut it out with a circle die. 

6. Die-cut starburst from Early Espresso. 

7.  Layer the greeting together and add to the card front using a Stampin' Dimensional.

Let's Create Friday featuring Happy Hibiscus Bundle...

 


First, let me apologize for not knowing what day it was yesterday.....seemed like a Monday after all the holidays....LOL. 

Today is FRIDAY! Yay! 

I am sharing a card I made using the FABULOUS online exclusive bundle Happy Hibiscus

How You Can Make It

Supplies:
Happy Hibiscus Bundle
Stampin Blend Markers
Memento Black Ink
Night of Navy Ink
Night of Navy card stock
Basic White card stock
Gold Thread
Gold embellishments

Measurements: 

Card Base:  Night of Navy: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Card Liner: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Front Mat: Basic White: 41/8 x 5 3/8
DSP: 2 3/4 x 4 1/8
Large Circle: Basic White: 4x4
Small Circle: Night of Navy: 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
Greeting: Basic White: 1 1/2 x 1
Flowers: Basic White: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

Instructions:

1. Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder. 

2. Add the white card liner to the inside.

3.  Emboss the front mat with the Hibiscus folder and attach it to the front of the card. 

 4. Die-cut the circles using the Spotlight on Nature dies. 

5. Stamp and die-cut the flowers and leaves using Memento Black ink. 

6.  Color the images as desired using Stampin' Blend markers.

7.  Stamp the greeting using Night of Navy ink and fussy cut. 

8.  Attach the DSP to the mat layer. 

9.  Attach the Night of Navy circle to the Basic White circle.  

10.  Add dimensional to the back of the circle and add gold thread as desired. Then attach the circles to the card front

11. Attach the flowers and leaves as desired using Dimensionals and Tombow. 

12.  Add the greeting.

13.  Embellish with gold dots.

Let's Create Thursday featuring Love and Strength ....




 Hello Stampers! 

Happy New Year!  I hope you enjoyed your Christmas holiday and spent some time with family and friends. 

Today I am sharing a card that I made featuring the Love and Strength stamp set #164252 found in the September to January Mini Catalog on page 62.

I love how this card turned out with all the layers and textures.  and, the bonus is that it was easy to create! 


How You Can Make It

Supplies:

Love and Strength  stamp set

Night of Navy card stock

Basic White card Stock

Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Memento Black ink pads

Blending Brushes or sponges

Stampin Blends

Basics Embossing Folder

Navy Twine and Clear Embellishments


Measurements:

Card Base: Night of Navy: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 
Card Liner: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Card Mat: Basic White: 3 3/4 x 5
Focal Image: Basic White: 2 1/2 x 4
Tag Mat: scrap Night of Navy
Tag: scrap Basic White
Flower: Basic White: 2 1/2 x 2

Instructions:

1.  Stamp flower image and greeting on scrap white and set aside to dry

2.  Using blending brushes or sponges apply the ink from dark to light on the focal image blending well until you reach the desired depth of color.
 
3.  Spray some water into your cupped palm,  pick up water with the fingertips of the opposite hand, and flick the water drops onto the freshly inked focal image. As the water drops dry they will displace the ink giving a dotted mottled effect. Set aside to dry

4.  Emboss mat layer with the Basics embossing folder (or your choice)

5.  Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder.

6.  Add the white liner to the inside of the card

7.  Add the embossed mat to the outside of the card. 

8.  Color the flower image with Stampin Blends.

9.  Fussy cut the flower image and the greeting and greeting mat. 

10.  Add the focal image to the card front using dimensionals. 

11.  Add the flower to the focal image using dimensionals.

12.  Add the greeting to the card front using dimensional. 

13.  Embellish with twine and clear dots.
