Wednesday June 9, 2021...Stamp With Shel....Around The World On Wednesday- Step It Up!

 

Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  

Today I am once again hopping around the world with a bunch of talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators! 

Our purpose is to inspire you, share beautiful Stampin' Up products with you, and to get you stamping!  

 The theme for this month's hop is STEP-IT-UP!

 I chose the FABULOUS Party Puffin stamp set for my projects.....here is what I came up with:  

Beginner stamper card:

This is a super simple one layer card stamped in Memento black ink and colored with 3 Stampin Blends

Casual stamper card:  

This is a step up from the last card....added dsp and a punched sentiment

Avid stamper card: 

This is yet another step up with multiple punched layers, die-cut layers, dsp, ribbon and embellishments

Tuesday June 8, 2021- Thankful Tuesday- Stamp With Shel....

 

Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers!  

Today is thankful Tuesday at Stamp With Shel....a day to stop all the craziness and negativity and think about what you are thankful for.  

These are crazy times we are living in....and it is so easy to get caught up in the negativity and seemingly endless bad news.  

Today I want us all to stop!  Forget all that crap!  Take time today to focus and think about what you are thankful for.

Think about what is good and positive.  Think happy thoughts.

  Smile and then pick up the phone and call someone....talk to them and brighten their day....spread sunshine and let people know you are thinking of them and that you care. 

I don't know about you...but it is time for me to reset my attitude and reset my smile, so to speak. 

I am so very thankful that I have my health and my family.  Although we are apart we are all healthy and doing ok.  That in itself is a blessing!  

I am also so very thankful for you, my readers, my supporters, my customers, my students!  You keep me sane, keep me grounded, give me purpose in these crazy times.  

I design and create and posts and videos in hopes of brightening your day, giving you inspiration to stamp, and send out cards to your family, friends, neighbors. anyone and everyone. 

Be a blessing....bless someone with a card....let them know you are thinking about them today.  

Sometimes we forget how much it means to receive a card in your mailbox.  It puts an instant smile on my face and a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart each and every time I receive a card.  I know someone cares, that someone is thinking of me.  

Do that today for someone you care about!

Monday, June 7, 2021- Daisy Garden- Stamp With Shel

 

Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers!  

Happy Monday! And what a gloriously beautiful morning it is here in sunny Manitoba! 

Today I have a card share for you featuring the new stamp set found on page 106 of the Annual Catalog.  The stamp set is Daisy Garden item#155079 and is easily overlooked but a real beauty! 

Here is a close up image of the stamp set: 

And here is my card: 

I used Memento Black ink to stamp the image on a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock, using my stamparatus.  

Next I colored the image with my Stampin Blend alcohol based markers.  (I love these because they do not leave any unsightly lines like regular water based markers do) 

I matted the focal image on a pices of Cajun Craze measuring 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 

I added dimensionals to the back and attached it to a Mossy Meadow card base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Next I added a Basic White card liner to the inside of the card measuring 4 x 5 1/4

I stamped the greeting using Memento Black ink on a strip of Basic White measuring 3 1/4 x 3/8

I glued this to a Basic Black mat measuring 3 1/2 x 1/2 and then added dimensionals to the back. 

To embellish I added copper thread to the back of the greeting before adding it to the card front.  

To further embellish I added a dragonfly using glue dots as well as some Gilded Gems from page 142 item #152478

Monday, May 31.....Stamp With Shel....Garden Wishes & Dandy Garden - a fun fold and a blast from the past....

 Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers!  Happy Monday to you all! 

Today I have a bit of simple stamping inspiration for you....and it is a fun fold too!  

I created this card using the Garden Wishes stamp set found on page 22 of the Annual Catalog and the coordinating Dandy Wishes dies found on page 162. 

Here are images of those products: 

This set makes it easy to create simple or detailed cards.  I love that the images and die cuts can be used for a variety of occasions.  I once used the flower images to create a COVID 19 card and used them as viruses!  Now that is versatility!

Friday, May 28, 2021...Stamp With Shel...Etched In Nature for Fun Friday and a Challenge.....

 

Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers!  

Welcome to Stamp With Shel and Fun Friday! 

Today I have a card to share with you that features the Etched In Nature stamp set and a twist on the Scrappy Strip Technique! 

Here is my card: 

To create this card I glued strips of foil dsp - I used the Simply Elegant Specialty DSP onto black cardstock.  

Once all the strips were glued on....I cut it again into strips the opposite way, to create multicolored squares on a black background strip.  

Next, I glued these onto a piece of gold foil.

This creates a fantastic background for any image and you can do it with any dsp or cardstock.  Dig out of your scrap bin and use up those scraps!

And here is a look at the stamp set I used: 

And one final look at this card.  I wish you could see it in person....the gold foiling in this card is beautiful! 

Now for a challenge.....I challenge you to choose a stamp set randomly and create a card using this modified scrappy strip technique!  

I can't wait to see what you come up with!
