Washi tape is a hot trend for card makers and scrapbookers alike.
Today we are going to explore some sample scrapbook layouts I found on Pinterest that I feel have beautifully shown the versatility of this product.
Hopefully this blog post will inspire you to get out your washi tape and create!
First up, here is a super simple idea for making a flag banner with washi to attach to add interest to your scrapbook page:
Or why not try this super simple but oh so colorful idea of applying washi to one side of page a a backdrop for the photos:
Or how about this super creative idea of drawing a shape on white card stock and using inks and washi tape to embellish the shape as a backdrop:
Here the designer used washi tape strips for a mat layer and added embellishments and photos on top:
This is a super simple but eye catching layout (and my personal favorite) . The designer used washi tape to make a border around the page....love the colors and how the frame pops:
Now here is another cool idea. The designer used washi tape to create a grid type backdrop. . . LOVE IT:
Now this sample, the designer used strips of dsp....but you could just as easily use washi tape....and I think it would be better because washi is self adhesive....super cute layout!
And how about this genius idea....the designer used washi tape and candy dots to fill in the white space and totally compliment the rest of the layout:
Here the designer used washi to not only add horizontal stripes across the layout but also to attach the photo mats for added interest:
And finally....stars and stripes.....simple yet oh so effective for this lovely Christmas layout:
Hopefully some of these Pinterest layouts using washi tape in various ways have inspired you to grab your washi tape and get busy.
Hmmmm that sounds like a challenge.....there we go.....this weeks Challenge is to create with washi tape- cards, scrapbook layouts, whatever. Remember to send me a picture so I can share it on my blog to help inspire others.
