Butterfly Basics in Kraft and Black. . . and bonus 12 x 12 card stock cutting
I was in my craft studio the other day and realized that I had not even opened the pack of Kraft 12x12 card stock( found on page 175) that I had purchased months ago.
Kraft is darker than Crumb Cake and pairs excellent with black ink. It is heavier than our regular card stock. 12 sheets $8.75
Here are the cards I came up with using the Butterfly Basics stamp set (found on page 113)
Did you know. . . if you change the size of your cards just a tiny bit, and use 12 x 12 card stock you can get three rectangular cards from each sheet. Each card measures 5 1/4 x 4.
So three cards per sheet x 12 sheets= 36 cards for $8.75=24 cents per card.....wow!
Now for even more fun.....if you change the size of your cards from rectangular to square, and use 12 x 12 card stock, you can get four square cards from each sheet....each card measures 4 x 4.
So four cards per sheet x 12 sheets=48 cards for $8.75=18 cents per card.....double wow!
And that is with Kraft card stock.
If you do it with regular core color card stock you get 20 sheets for $13.75
So three cards 4" x 5 1/4" per sheet x 20 sheets=60 cards for $13.75=23 cents per card
Four cards 4" x 4" per sheet x 20 sheets=80 cards for $13.75=17 cents per card
