I thought it was time to do another sketch challenge, it has been a while.
While today is a beautiful fall day (hope you are all out enjoying it).... tomorrow is forecast to be rainy and yuck....so a perfect day to try out a sketch challenge.
Here is the sketch:
Please share your creations by email (andersonshel@gmail.com) and I will share them on my blog to inspire others.
Truthfully, the Wood Textures DSP stack did most of the work for this card.....gotta love this paper!
The "Happy" was cropped from the Happy Birthday Thinlet Die. The leaves from the Colorful Season Bundle.....and the "Birthday" from the Labeller Alphabet.
Easy peasy! And such and AWESOME fall card!

My most favorite season of the year!
Cool temperatures, but not cold; we don't need heat or air conditioning....just crisp, bright days with all the beautiful fall colored leaves.
And with the new season means more time for paper crafting for me.
Here are a couple of scrapbook layouts I made with some old photos I found.
Hope you like them.
This first one features my three step sons when they were little. They are all grown men now....eek...aren't they cute!
And this second one features my granddaughter Brielle when she was just a baby. She was 6 in May.....such a cutie then and such a beauty now!
I love it every time I open one of my boxes of photos.....it is a trip down memory lane. I don't know if I will ever get my photos put into scrapbook pages....but I will plug away at it....LOVE MY PHOTOS and SWEET MEMORIES!
This is an old blog post I made wayyyy back on March 13, 2011....wow....over six years ago....thought it would be fun to revisit the post and the technique....happy Saturday! Striped Wipe Technique
Create patterned background with classic re-inkers and baby wipes.
Supplies Needed:
Baby Wipe
Two or more Dye Ink Reinkers
Glossy Cardstock
Stamps
Ink
To start, fold a baby wipe and add drops of re-inker to the edge of the fold line.
Here, the baby wipe was folding in half twice.
If you want a multicolored background, continue to add more colors.Hint: For smaller stripes, add a small dot of reinker. For wider stripes, add longer stripes of reinker.
Line the inked fold up with the edge of the glossy cardstock.
Wipe the inked baby wipe over the glossy cardstock to create striped background.
Add more color, linking up the inked wipe with the existing stripes to intensify and even out the colors.
Quick, easy, bright and happy is how I would describe this card and this technique that I learned from fellow demonstrator Connie Stewart.
Here is her card:

The product I’m going to focus on today is one that I have had a love/hate relationship with ...Fast Fuse.
When it first came out, I bought it, but I couldn’t get the darn thing to work!!!
Snail adhesive is super easy to use, so I figured Fast Fuse would be the same.
Nope, definitely not the same!!! I just couldn’t get it to work properly!!!!
But, I kept hearing other demonstrators say how much they loved it. Loved it??? I must be crazy....how could they love this frustrating product?
That motivated me to figure this darn stuff out.
I checked YouTube, and found that Stampin’ Up! had released a video with some tips and tricks for using Fast Fuse. I watched the video and then I understood what I was doing wrong....I too soon fell in love.
Yes, I love this product and grab for it all the time because it’s super strong! I still use Tear and Tape but it is so much easier to apply Fast Fuse! Easy and fast and strong permanent bond....can't beat that!
Please check out this video showing how to use Fast Fuse.
Trust me, once you start using it, you won’t know how you lived without it.
And, as an added bonus...if you do the math...Fast Fuse is cheaper to use than Snail because fast fuse is 21.9 yards for $10.00 and snail is only 13.1 yards for $9.00....just saying....I like to save 😊 and I bet you do too!
Check out this beautiful fall card featuring the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and Guy Greetings Stamp Set. It features the Two Step Stamping Technique.
I love the beautiful earthy colors - Old Olive, Tranquil Tide, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Early Espresso paired with the Wood Textures DSP!

Doesn't this card just make you happy to look at it? I love how this one turned out with all the vibrant happy colors.
The technique is called highlighted dry embossing and features the large polka dot embossing folder....you could also substitute the Polka Dot Basics folder found on page 210 of the annual catalog.
I used Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach, Powder Pink, and Flirty Flamingo inks along with Memento Black ink.
You might be wondering where I got the scallop border for the greeting....that is actually the bottom side of the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch! YEP it is actually two border punches in one! a two-fer! LOL!

It is from my upline, Denise Willerton. She loves to leave little samples in my mailbox whenever she comes to the city.
This sample features the stamp set called Badges and Banners found on page 26 of the annual catalog. This stamp set coordinates with the Best Badge punch found on page 206 of the annual catalog.
