Kylie's International Blog Highlight November 2020....

 Good Morning Stampers!

I am taking part in Kylie's International Blog Highlights for November.  The theme is thankful.

We need to be thankful all year for our blessings....but this time of year thankful makes me think of Remembrance Day.

Here is my card:

For my card, I used Painted Poppies stamp set and stamped the poppy image repeatedly on Whisper
White card stock with Mossy Meadow ink.  Then I colored all the little poppies with Dark Poppy Parade blends. I lightly sponged the background with Purple Posy and Balmy Blue ink so it wasn't so white.
I used the Playful Alphabet Dies to cut the letters from Basic Black card stock.

I cut the cross from Basic Gray cardstock and then ran it through the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, and sponged the raised areas with Gray Granite ink.

The poppy was stamped on Poppy Parade cardstock and fussy cut.  The center of the poppy is actually the center cut out from the letter o that I glued on and added a touch of Wink of Stella to.

We need to be thankful for those who fought for our country ....Canada remembers.....we appreciate and are thankful for your service and sacrifice.

Here is the poem....In Flanders Fields....recited by the great Canadian poet/singer/songwriter....Leonard Cohen:
