Thursday July 22, 2021....Two for Thursday...Creating With New DSP Video Tutorial....

Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers! Happy Thursday!

I have a couple of beauties to share with you today as well as a video tutorial!

I was stuck with very little supplies and needed to do a video so I opted to challenge myself and use mainly new dsp for my cards.

Happy Tuesday!

It is ridiculously smokey here in Winnipeg and hard to breathe at times. I know at work yesterday we sent our plant employees home early because of the air quality ( or lack thereof) so I hope you are staying inside and the smoke is not bothering you too much.

While you are inside I thought I would pop by with a bit of creative inspiration for you.

Thursday July 15, 2020.....Turtle Friends and Watercolor Shapes....

Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers! Happy Thursday to you!

Today I wanted to share with you a super cute card I made using the Turtle Friends bundle #155819 found on page 56 of the Annual Catalog. This is such a cute bundle! And punches are so quick and easy!

I made the background using the WaterColor Shapes stamp set#156968 found on page 102 of the Annual Catalog.

The ink colors for the background are Just Jade, Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia.

The Layering Circles Dies #151770 made quick work of the focal panel for my turtle.

The turtle was stamped with Just Jade ink on a scrap of Pear Pizzazz. I punched both the turtle and his shell out using the punch.

As advised earlier in the week...I am off on vacation tomorrow with my hubby to celebrate our 12th anniversary. If you email me there will be a delay in responses as I will be out of the office all day. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Wednesday, July 14, 2021...Stamp With Shel...Around The World on Wednesday- CASE a Team Member

Hey, Hey, Hey Stampers! Happy Wednesday!

Today I am honored to once again be hopping around the world with the best group of demonstrator friends!

This month we have been challenged to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) another team members project. I am to CASE Chris Smith.

Here is her card that I chose to CASE:

I love this card and think it is a very classy card.

Now that I had chosen a card I wanted to TOTALLY change it up. Instead of a classy theme, I went with a fresh and fun theme and color scheme.

I decided I would keep similar layout as well as the inked embossing folder technique....but would change mine up to be a bright summery card.

My card base is Basic Black 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.

My card liner is Basic White 4 x 5 1/4/

The Melon Mambo panel is 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 and was embossed with the Greenery embossing folder which had Melon Mambo ink applied to it prior to embossing.

The bright flowery DSP has lots of fun summer colors. It measures 1x5 1/4 and is from the Pansy Petals DSP pack.

The Fresh Freesia Cardstock layer was 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 and was cut in half using the stitched zig zag from the Basic Borders dies.

The image was stamped on Basic White using Memento Black ink, from the Right Behind you stamp set found on page 84. This is a fabulous friendship/support set!

I colored the image using my Stampin Blend alcohol markers: Balmy Blue light, Fresh Freesia Light, Polished Pink light, Petal Pink light, Crumb Cake light, So Saffron light. Then I fussy cut the image and popped it up on dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped with Memento Black ink on Basic White card stock and I flagged the ends. I added dimensionals to this as well.

To finish the card I colored Basic Rhinestones with my blends and added them to the card.

Ok now that I have your attention and your smiling because you think I am crazy.....😃.....I will continue with a couple bits of news and then on to my card.

The first bit of news is that the matte embossing paste that has been unorderable is now available! Yay!

Ok...enough business....now on to the fun creative stuff!

So I am going to give you a little backstory. I was cutting kits for one of my classes and had a whole bunch of offcut pieces on my desktop. I was going to toss them in my scrap bin but decided to challenge myself to use them to make a card. This is what I came up with:

The card base is Basic Black 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

The art layer is Basic White 4 x 5 1/2

The red and gray stitched pieces are off cuts from the Basic Borders dies

The black leaves are from the Symetrical Stems border punch

The greeting is stamped from the Biggest Wish stamp set found on page 63

I was actually quite impressed to have a masculine card from a pile of scraps.
