FUN- Tastic Friday and In The Country Masterpiece!

Happy FUN-Tastic Friday Stampers!

And to kick off your weekend I wanted to send out this post jam-packed full of information and freebies.

Here goes:

Here is my card:

I needed a card for a dear friend who is going through a tough time, so I thought this card would be just what I needed. Since this card was going to be for a guy I did not want anything too fancy or frou-frou.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper that has lots of texture.

I used my stamparatus and stamped the image multiple times using Stazon Black ink. (stazon is needed as it stays on and does not bleed when working with water)

Next, I grabbed my watercolor pencils and scribbled color on the fence, then used my water painter brush to move that color around.

I did this for each different area and each different color I used. I moved about to different areas to allow one area to dry while I worked on another area farther away.

Once I was done I matted the art panel and then added it to the mini-card. My initial thought was a black card base with a Balmy Blue mat but it did not look good. The green and brown were a much better choice.

To finish the card, I stamped the greeting and matted it as well and then attached it to the card front with dimensionals.

I know this is just a card but it is one of the most favorites I have done in a long time, as it looks like a little painting. To be truthful, I did not want to give this one away but I did and hope that it gives my friend as much joy as it gave me....I will make another for myself. LOL...

The best part is that I love what I created for my friend, and....the stamp set was FREE!
