I have a template I have created, that I print off on my computer. It has four "practice" card fronts with a grid printed on them.
I cut this template up into four pieces and when I stamp a card, I first stamp on my "practice" sheet.
If I am not happy with my first attempt, I toss the computer paper and grab another and stamp until I get it right.
Then I put the stamped "practice" computer paper beside my cardstock when I am stamping my "good" copy as a reference for placement.
I don't know about you but I make A LOT of mistakes and man oh man I hate ruining cardstock. I would much rather practice first on cheap copy paper ( or looseleaf) and then toss that.
And here is a look at what I stamp on when I am figuring out my card design:
The great thing is that my template works for a vertical or a horizontal card.
If you are interested in this, I have a FREE DOWNLOAD of this 4 per page grid that you can save to your computer for use when you stamp.
