How about Taco Thursday to spice up your week?
A month ago, I had to make a fun fold card for a tutorial coop I belong to. While making that card, I also decided to make a standard card for a blog post.
I love this because it uses up all the bits of scraps!
I don't know about you but I get a ton of skinny strips of scrap that I cut off cards, or have just a bit left over from punching something out. This design uses up those bits!
How You Can Make It:

Taco Fiesta Stamp Set
Parakeet Party card stock
Parakeet Party card stock
Stylish Shapes dies
Double Oval Punch
Basic White card stock
Basic Black card stock
Memento Black ink pad
Stampin Blends for coloring images
Basic White card stock

Circle Punches or Circle Dies
Measurements:
Card Base: Basic Black: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Inside Mat: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Outside Mat: Parakeet Party: 4 x 5 1/4
Focal image mat: Basic White: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
Inside Mat: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Outside Mat: Parakeet Party: 4 x 5 1/4
Focal image mat: Basic White: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
Greeting Mat: Basic Black: scrap
Greeting Tag &Images: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Instructions:
- Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat with a bone folder.
- Add the white liner to the inside of the card using Tombow.
- Add the Parakeet Party mat layer to the outside of the card using Tombow.
- Punch three circles (or whatever shape you want) into the white layer
- Glue strips of bright-colored scraps to the back side of the openings
- Attach the white layer to the front of the card using Tombow.
- Die cut the banner from black scrap
- Stamp the images and the greeting using Memento Black ink
- Color the images with Stampin Blends as desired.
- Punch the greeting with the oval punch
- Layer up the greeting and add to the card front with Dimensionals
- Fussy cut the images and add to circles using Dimensonals
- Wrap ribbons around the card front and tie them off in a knot
- Embellish with dots.
