ThisWeek In Review...Love and Strength and Happy Hibiscus

Let's Create Friday featuring Happy Hibiscus Bundle...

 


First, let me apologize for not knowing what day it was yesterday.....seemed like a Monday after all the holidays....LOL. 

Today is FRIDAY! Yay! 

I am sharing a card I made using the FABULOUS online exclusive bundle Happy Hibiscus

How You Can Make It

Supplies:
Happy Hibiscus Bundle
Stampin Blend Markers
Memento Black Ink
Night of Navy Ink
Night of Navy card stock
Basic White card stock
Gold Thread
Gold embellishments

Measurements: 

Card Base:  Night of Navy: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Card Liner: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Front Mat: Basic White: 41/8 x 5 3/8
DSP: 2 3/4 x 4 1/8
Large Circle: Basic White: 4x4
Small Circle: Night of Navy: 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
Greeting: Basic White: 1 1/2 x 1
Flowers: Basic White: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

Instructions:

1. Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder. 

2. Add the white card liner to the inside.

3.  Emboss the front mat with the Hibiscus folder and attach it to the front of the card. 

 4. Die-cut the circles using the Spotlight on Nature dies. 

5. Stamp and die-cut the flowers and leaves using Memento Black ink. 

6.  Color the images as desired using Stampin' Blend markers.

7.  Stamp the greeting using Night of Navy ink and fussy cut. 

8.  Attach the DSP to the mat layer. 

9.  Attach the Night of Navy circle to the Basic White circle.  

10.  Add dimensional to the back of the circle and add gold thread as desired. Then attach the circles to the card front

11. Attach the flowers and leaves as desired using Dimensionals and Tombow. 

12.  Add the greeting.

13.  Embellish with gold dots.

Let's Create Thursday featuring Love and Strength ....




 Hello Stampers! 

Happy New Year!  I hope you enjoyed your Christmas holiday and spent some time with family and friends. 

Today I am sharing a card that I made featuring the Love and Strength stamp set #164252 found in the September to January Mini Catalog on page 62.

I love how this card turned out with all the layers and textures.  and, the bonus is that it was easy to create! 


How You Can Make It

Supplies:

Love and Strength  stamp set

Night of Navy card stock

Basic White card Stock

Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Memento Black ink pads

Blending Brushes or sponges

Stampin Blends

Basics Embossing Folder

Navy Twine and Clear Embellishments


Measurements:

Card Base: Night of Navy: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 
Card Liner: Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Card Mat: Basic White: 3 3/4 x 5
Focal Image: Basic White: 2 1/2 x 4
Tag Mat: scrap Night of Navy
Tag: scrap Basic White
Flower: Basic White: 2 1/2 x 2

Instructions:

1.  Stamp flower image and greeting on scrap white and set aside to dry

2.  Using blending brushes or sponges apply the ink from dark to light on the focal image blending well until you reach the desired depth of color.
 
3.  Spray some water into your cupped palm,  pick up water with the fingertips of the opposite hand, and flick the water drops onto the freshly inked focal image. As the water drops dry they will displace the ink giving a dotted mottled effect. Set aside to dry

4.  Emboss mat layer with the Basics embossing folder (or your choice)

5.  Fold the card base on the score line and burnish it flat using a bone folder.

6.  Add the white liner to the inside of the card

7.  Add the embossed mat to the outside of the card. 

8.  Color the flower image with Stampin Blends.

9.  Fussy cut the flower image and the greeting and greeting mat. 

10.  Add the focal image to the card front using dimensionals. 

11.  Add the flower to the focal image using dimensionals.

12.  Add the greeting to the card front using dimensional. 

13.  Embellish with twine and clear dots.
