Natural Botanicals....Day One...Make Your Own DSP Technique...

 Natural Botanicals #164831

Over the next couple of days, I will showcase the Natural Botanicals stamp set, which is a carryover item in the new 25-26 Annual Catalog.

This is a reversible stamp set....meaning you can get a solid image using the back side of the stamp and then turn the stamp over and stamp the detail image on top....cool eh!

Here is today's card:

I used the detailed leaf image to create my own DSP!

I chose to go rogue and use a non-traditional color,  which I LOVE how it turned out.

How You Can Make It:

Supplies:

  • Natural Botanicals Stamp Set
  • Mixed Labels Dies
  • Heart Shaped Stamp Set
  • Misty Moonlight Ink Pad
  • Misty Moonlight card stock
  • Basic White card stock
  • Navy Bordered Ribbon
  • Basic Rhinestones

Measurements:

Card Base: Basic White: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Mat Layer: Misty Moonlight: 5 1/4 x 4
Focal Layer: Basic White: 5 x 3 3/4
Tag Mat: Misty Moonlight: 3 1/4 x 2
Tag: Basic White: 2 1/4 x 1 1/4

Instructions:

  1. Fold the card base on the score line and press it flat using a bone folder.
  2. Attach the Misty Moonlight mat layer to the front of the card.
  3. Using Misty Moonlight ink, stamp the detailed leaf image multiple times on the Basic White focal panel to create your own DSP.
  4. Attach the focal layer to the card front.
  5. Stamp the greeting using Misty Moonlight ink on the Basic White tag piece.
  6. Die-cut the greeting and the tag mat.
  7. Layer the tag pieces together and attach to the card front using dimensionals.
  8. Embellish with a ribbon bow and rhinestones.

Here are some alternate ideas to inspire you using this set:

Come back tomorrow for another card and tutorial using this set!
