Simple Stamping With Shel....Faux Stitching Technique

 

Hey Hey Stampers! 

Today, I have a sympathy card to share with you that I made with a color I seldom use...Gray Granite.  

I used the faux stitching technique ...a super simple technique where you add "stitches" using a white gel pen.  It is super easy to do and adds a bit of interest to your cards.  

I hope you give this technique a try today!

This card has a quiet, masculine feel to it.  

Supplies: 

Cardstock:  Gray Granite and Basic White
DSP: Woven Textures DSP
Dots: Dappled Dots
Adhesives: Tombow, Dimensionals
Dies:  Hearts Dies (retired)
Stamps:  Elements of Text, Happy Little Things
Tools: Paper Trimmer, White Gel Pen
Inks:  Gray Granite

Measurements: 

Card Base: Basic White: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score 4 1/4
Front Mat: Gray Granite: 4 x 5 1/4
DSP: Woven Textures: 1 3/4 x 5 1/4
Mat Layer: Basic White: 3x3 1/4
Tag Mat: Gray Granite: 3 1/4 x 1
Tag: Basic White: 3 x 3/4
Large Heart: Gray Granite: 2x2
Small Heart: Basic White: 1 1/2 x 1 1/2
