Modified Book Fold featuring Gathering Moments Bundle...

 Today I have an AMAZING card to share with you.  Unfortunately no video tutorial as I started taping this video, and I was almost done with my card when I realized Facebook had booted me and I was no longer taping.  *sigh*

You know how sometimes you are creating a card and it just morphs into something amazing....well, this is what happened when I was designing this card. 

I had the idea to modify the standard book fold card....went looking for some DSP in Pretty Peacock....and went in a totally different direction with DSP.  

The idea in my head was to put a layered banner on the card front and stamp the greeting on the banner and embellish with leaves.....well, that did not happen.  

I chose the large maple leaf die, did some drawing with a marker, did some layered inking, did some scrunching and stamping.....and this is what happened: 

Here is a close-up of this GORGEOUS leaf.....in real life, it is SO REALISTIC....it takes me home to New Brunswick and all the GORGEOUS fall colors and leaves. *sigh* 😀

When I showed it to my hubby, he said, "That is just paper?" 

So, of all the cards I made this week using the Gathering Moments Bundle....this is by far my favorite!  I am going to challenge myself to make a scrapbook layout using this leaf technique!

Gathering Moments - Quilt Technique....

 

My card today features a super easy technique....the Quilt Technique.  

Here is my card:

I created a background from scraps of DSP by cutting them into little squares.  Next I embossed the panel to make it look like a quilt. Here is a close up of the beautiful texture:

Step 1: Using Blending Brushes, add Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry ink to one sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.   Step 2: Fill a Stampin' Spritzer with water and spray it on the inked paper. Let it sit, then dab with a tissue to reveal the water droplet pattern beneath. Allow to dry completely.   Step 3: Die cut with the Amber Autumn card front die. Trim edges with a Paper Trimmer.

Loveliest Tree Duo...

Here is a card that I made using textured gold foil and the Loveliest Trees Bundle found on page 100 of the annual catalog.  Item #163716

I simply die cut the trees and the foliage and used the left over foil to punch out three little circles to use as embellishments.  

Below is the same card in textured copper foil. 

Cards with foil are VERY HARD to photograph....these are stunning in person, but the copper foil one is AMAZING.  

Simple, clean, and a wow with the sparkly textured foils!
