This is another card we made in September card class. It features the background stamp World Map.
I stamped the image using Stazon on white cardstock.
Then I grabbed my sponges and inks and got to work ``coloring`` the background.
A piece of our new ribbon and a quick greeting from the Word Play stamp set and this card was done!

under His wings.....
Here is a card I made during Free Crop last Saturday.
I typed the verse in Microsoft Word document and printed it off the computer. Then I cut the cardstock to card size.
I stamped the feather images from the Fine Feathers stamp set. I chose Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit colors.
I think this would make a great sympathy card, or card for a friend going through a rough time.

A Clean and Simple Hello......
This card is a very clean and simple square card featuring the stamp set Regarding Dahlias.
I love the square shape and the clean and simple feel. And of course the opportunity to make the matching envelope with our envelope punch board.....

A 3D project for September
It has been a while since we have made a 3D project in our card class, so this month we made a set of three 3x3 notecards, envelopes and a presentation box.
The envelopes and box were made with our new envelope score board......yes a box was made on this board- how versatile is that!

It's Time.....
Hello Stampers and Scrappers!
It is time....for a challenge! The weekend is coming and why not give my new color challenge a try.
How? Simply make a card, a scrapbook page, or a 3D item.
Why? Why not, it is fun!
If you want, you can email me a photo of your project and I will share it on my blog to inspire others.
Ok....so here are today's colors:
Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Pistachio Pudding, Melon Mambo and Cajun Craze.
Now I know what you are thinking....what a weird combination.....but give it a try....see what you can come up with. I look forward to seeing them!
Don't have Stampin' Up card stock- no worries- use whatever brand you have that is comparable in color.

Tinker Town 2013
This is the third layout for September Scrapbook Class.
It features my three grandkids on a day trip to Tinker Town.
I mixed it up by adding different shaped photos- rectangles, squares and cirlcles.
The icecream cone was made with the cupcake punch and the pennant punch. How cute eh?

VACATION RELAXATION....
The first week of September was our last week of vacation:(
It was also our most relaxed and most enjoyable of the three weeks we had this summer.
All the campers were elsewhere and we basically had the park to ourselves most of the time. This included the beach- it was GREAT.
I snapped a few pics of hubby so he could not claim he worked hard....truth was we did not work at all- not one day.....we slept when we wanted to, ate when we wanted to, did whatever we wanted when we wanted....it was GREAT!
Here he is working hard at snoring....in the new chair I bought him for his birthday in July.
Here he is waking up ....
And here is the reaction I got (sticking out his tongue at me) when he was awake enough to realize what I was doing....too funny.
Love you Mike! Thanks for the pics and the laughs.

Graphic 45 for September
Thursday, September 12, 2013
Now this is a blast from the past.....like 47 years past.......
This is a layout I made for my September Scrapbooking Class.
This page features me, at about three and a half years old sporting a "ROCKIN" self made hairdo.....too funny!
I LOVE the little sailor dress....and believe it or not I remember this dress- now that is an amazing fact!
This page features a button and bakers twine frame- I just popped up the buttons on dimensionals and wound the bakers twine around it. A few punched circles and corner punches and a 3d spellbinder butterfly completes it.
No Worries- hair will grow.....hahahahahaha

Happy Birthday to my youngest son Jesse!
Last night I took him out for his birthday dinner....and he chose Mitzie's for chicken fingers again this year!
If you have never had Mitzie's chicken fingers you are missing out. They have the absolute best homemade chicken fingers I have ever tasted....yummy!
It was great having one on one time with him.
Afterwards we went back and spent some time with the 3 kids- fun!
A great evening!
Here are some pics I snapped during dinner.

Scrapbooking Tip
How do you store your scrapbooking papers?
Here is a quick tip for you....it is much easier to design a layout if you store your papers by color.
Recently I have been having some fun, "scrapping by color" meaning that I grab a few photos for my layout, choose one color, and all the papers for my layout must come out of that color bin. It is different, fun and quite cool.
Here is a sample I found on the internet of a "scrap by color" layout where the designer has stayed in the black and white color group.
Now even if you do not scrap by color, you will find it faster and easier to design your layouts if you sort your papers by color.
I suggest you use the following:
Reds and Pinks
Yellows and Oranges
Blues
Greens
Purples
Browns
Blacks and Whites
Beiges and Neutrals
Brights-Neons
Metallics
Specialty Papers and Overlays
Tip: When sorting your patterned papers with multiple colors, look for the prominent color and use that as your guide.
