My Birthday Gift from Hubby....
Last Sunday was my birthday and I wanted to share with you the great gift I got from my hubby.

It is called an Aqua Zinger. It is a stainless steel insulated water bottle with a flip top straw, large enough to put ice cubes in .....but it has a fruit infuser at the bottom!
You put fruit, vegetables or even mint leaves and the blades grind up the fruit and infuses flavor into your water. There is a screen that holds the fruit in the bottom cup, but allows the water to get through and get flavored.
How cool is this!!!!
I drink ALOT of water and this is a supercool gift for me! Love it!

I Like You....
Another sample with new products.....this time a hostess set called I Like You found on page 237.
I masked and stamped the image twice and colored it with Blendabilities.
The little flowers in the bottom corner- see the yellow pearl centers.....yes you can color your pearls with the new markers!!! How is that for coordination.

Blended Bloom and Blendabilities Markers
This card features the Blended Bloom Stamp found on page 167 of the new catalog. This is a beautiful image to color.
I used my new Blendabilities Markers found on page 212. I used the Pumpkin Pie Assortment for my flower.

New In Color Cards with New Something to Say Stamp Set....
All this week I am going to be sharing samples I made using new products from the 2014-2015 Stampin Up! Annual Catalog just released on June 2.
Today I wanted to share with you five little cards I made .
The card bases are made from the New 2014-2016 In Colors- Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and Lost Lagoon.
These can be found on page 179 of the new catalog and come in individual color packs, combination color packs, or cardstock and ink pad packs.
The stamp set is called Something to Say found on page 104. It comes in wood or clear mount. It is a great stamp set because there is a coordinating greeting to finish off the inside of your card.
And the hearts, flower and star image coordinate with the new
Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack found on page 222.
The Designer Series Paper is from the Moonlight Paper Stack and can be found on page 185.

Proportional Matting Your Cards
Today I wanted to talk with you a bit, about matting for your cards.
Many times when you stamp an image you want to place it on a mat with a coordinating color.
I ran across this chart for proportional matting for standard cards. I printed it off and have it tacked to the wall in my craft room.
I think this is a huge time saver....instead of having to do all the figuring for yourself, simply select your image and measure it to see what size paper you want, and then from the chart go up one, two or three sizes, depending on the width of the border you want! Easy peasy!

Today is another recipe share! This is delicious and I have this several times a week!
Shel's Guilt Free Yummy Fruit Smoothie
1/2 cup fruit - fresh or frozen
1 single serve container of 40 calorie or less yogurt
1 single serve yogurt container of water
7 ice cubes
1 to 2 pkg splenda to suit your taste
blend and enjoy guilt free drink!
I have even added my 1/2 cup of cottage cheese to it and drink my breakfast.
This is really easy to make and really refreshing when I get back from my morning walk.

May Scrapbooking Class- Double Page Layout
This two page layout was for May Scrapbooking Class.
I had a bunch of photos of me and my siblings from my childhood, that were fond memories for me that I wanted to preserve. This easy layout achieved that.
The journal card was made using the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

May Scrapbooking Class- Layout One
This is the first layout we made in May Scrapbooking Class. This is a really simple layout that works well with any size photos. This features my oldest son Joey when he graduated from Basic Training in Quebec back in 2006.
I used dark card stock and accentuated each photo with faux stitching using a white gel pen. Some green feathers and green bling completed the layout.

A Different Post- A Great Summer Recipe to Share....

Note: 1/4 cup is only 16 calories!
2 cups finely chopped seeded peeled cucumber 1/2 cup finely chopped seeded tomato 1/4 cup chopped red onion 2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped 4-1/2 tsp minced fresh cilantro 1 garlic clove, minced or pressed 1/4 c reduced-fat sour cream 1-1/2 tsp lemon juice 1-1/2 tsp lime juice 1/4 tsp ground cumin 1/4 tsp seasoned salt Tortilla chips In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients.
In another bowl, combine the sour cream, lemon juice, lime juice, cumin and seasoned salt.
Pour over cucumber mixture and toss gently to coat.
Serve immediately with Tostitos baked tortilla chips.

Big Shot Die Tip to make your paper crafting easier!!!
Today I want to share a quick tip for Big Shot Dies.
Grab some full sheet labels and cut to die size.
Adhere sticky side to die face.
Run through the Big Shot.
Remove cut images leaving white outline paper still stuck to the die.
Now the next time you use the die, it will be super easy to cut your images...simply put your card stock over the black image making sure it is completely covered- no more guessing or wasting huge amounts of card stock.
Save money- save time- save frustration- reduce paper use- a winner on all counts!
