Hey Hey Hey Stampers! Happy Thursday!
Today I am participating in the Crafty Collaborations Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.
Our theme this time is Reduce Reuse Recycle.
To be honest, this theme was a tough one for me, how can I make a reduce reuse recycle card?
I thought of the obvious removing elements from a previously made card and reusing them in a new card....but that was not for me. I was stumped.
I decided to take a break and make a coffee, and as I walked into the kitchen I spied the mail on the island. . . JUNK MAIL.
JUNK MAIL! Ah, my lightbulb moment- LOL!
I grabbed up that mail to see if there was anything at all that I could "recycle" into a card. When I had just about lost all hope I came across an A&W coupon booklet with a coffee cup image. TADA! LIGHTBULB MOMENT! LOL!
Ok enough back story and silly-ness...here is my card:
The second recycled item is the now-retired Cinnamon Cider card stock which was embossed for a perfect backdrop for the coffee cup image.
The greetings are from the Nothings Better Than stamp set found on page 20 of the Annual Catalog #158295 and the coordinating Love You More Than dies found on page 172 of the Annual Catalog #152698
Check out the die-cut word coffee. When I cut it out of Early Espresso card stock it just seemed to get lost on the card front. I fixed that by die-cutting it again in Basic White and layering it together slightly offset for a shadow effect.
The third recycled item is the now-retired gold and silver pearls that I used for embellisment.
Now hop along to see what my creative friends have to share with you:
Fun card! and a great to use junk mail!
