Last night during my Facebook Live we created a couple of cool cards and had some giggles.
Oh, what can happen on a live video...LOL! You know me....keep it real girl here....what happens happens. LOL. Funny!
Anyyyyhow...
I saw a video by a fellow US demonstrator Patty Bennet who shared her fun fold card, which took a piece of 12 x 5 1/2 DSP and scored it at 4,6,8 and then glue the middle together which she created a little pop-up element for a critter or the like. It was a cute card....but it gave me an idea...(oh no!)
Personally, I am not a fan of just DSP cards....I like that they showcase both sides of the DSP, but find them to be a tad flimsy.
So...I got to work decreasing the sizes so that the DSP was smaller and allowed for me to add mat layers for a sturdier card.
My idea was to not have a pop-up critter in the middle...I wanted to modify the card to make it a pop-up gift card holder!
For this design process, I chose retired /scrap bin/ leftover bits to create my template cards, during the video I used current products.
Check out the video replay for all the details:
And, here are my cards:
Lovely cards, tips and techniques!
