Feeling overwhelmed with scraps?
Lost your creative mojo and need an idea?
I have the answer......the SCRAPPY STRIP TECHNIQUE!
This technique is a win win for me.....cleans up scraps and is easy to do!
How? Simply cut up scraps into strips....I did 1/2 inch but you can do whatever width or length you want. Mix it up and do different widths on same card....just have fun with it.
Here are the cards I made:
This first card features the Pretty Peacock tones. I added the strips on a slant for interest. I stamped and die-cut a couple of yellow flowers for a pop of color. The circles and the Nested Essential die cuts were in my leftover bits box, so I could also clean that up!
My second card is soft and subtle with the leftover strips of DSP in soft pinks and blues. I added the strips on an angle for added interest. All the circles were in my leftover bits box. A gingham bow and some dots were all that I added.
And finally, on my third card, I amped up the glitz by adding gold circles, gold ribbon, and gold dots. For this one, I applied the strips vertically. Have you given this technique a try?
What is your favorite technique?
Love this idea....great way to look at and use scraps! Thanks for sharing!!
