My share today, is to show that even the simplest of cards can pop and look fabulous simply by adding a few layers and texture.
Here is my card:
This is a simple card, but has multiple layers and textures: - Card Base
- dry embossed cardstock layer,
- DSP layer,
- DSP strip,
- Multi-layer tag with embossed stitch detail.
All of these components together make your card more interesting than just a piece of DSP glued to a card front....simple changes that pack a lot of punch!
How You Can Make It:
Supplies:
- Floral Delight DSP
- Daffodil Delight card stock
- Pecan Pie card stock
- Basic White card stock
- Basic White Ribbbon
- Pecan Pie gems
- Mixed Labels dies
- Pecan Pie ink pad
Measurements:
Card Base: Daffodil Delight: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Card Liner: Basic White:4 x 5 1/4
Floral DSP: 3 1/4 x 4
Strip DSP: 1 x 4
Embossed Cardstock: 2 x 4
Tag Mat: Pecan Pie: 3 x 2
Tag: Basic White: 2 1/4 x 1 1/4
Instructions:
- Fold the card base on the score line and press it flat
- Add the white liner to the inside of the card.
- Emboss the Daffodil Delight card stock and attach it to the top front of the card base.
- Add the floral print DSP to the bottom front of the card base.
- Attach the Pecan Pie strip of DSP to the card front to cover the seam.
- Stamp the greeting in Pecan Pie ink and die cut.
- Die-cut the Pecan Pie tag mat.
- Layer the tag together and attach to the card front using dimensional.
- Embellish with Pecan Pie gems and a white ribbon bow.
